Yeah, it was reported that him, Hill and Nash all returned to pre-season early. Nice to see he isn't holding back cos of the injury. Heard he is gonna be wearing some serious eye-wear this season.

This is good news. The earlier he gets started, the earlier he can get back into basketball conditioning. His goggle/sunnies apparently are going to take 4 months to get ready, what's up with that??

Good news, although this isn't THAT early for someone who's season ended early and is not in match form. I'm a little concerned to be honest. 2 months to get in shape and he's saying the competition was a little harder than he expected...his work ethic better be there and not in "50/50 staying with the Suns"-land, or else bouncing back will be tough.

I'm not surprised the competition is a littler harder than expected. It means that our players have improved but also that Amare's conditioning is not at NBA level yet. 2 months is plenty of time to get into shape and conditioned. His worth ethic has been proven time and time again (except for the defense thing) so I'm not too worried about his work ethic.

I do hate how NBA players, especially the stars, who are 50/50 on staying with their teams. Either you are 100% or you want out. If you're 50/50 than keep it to yourself and give 100% to the team until that solution is found. Telling the world you are 50/50 never helped morale or the situation.

I dont think he was saying "I wanna come back 50%". I think what he's saying is that it's 50/50 that he will be back given all the possible things that could happen. He could get traded. His eye could fall out. His knee could pop. Kerr might offer him some lowball offer and some other team offers him the Max.

He's just stating that he think there is a 50% chance he WILL be back.

When he speaks of what he WANTS, he ALWAYS says he wants to be a sun.

Ya'll are emotional. It's his JOB for God's sake.

I completely disagree. Are you saying Yao should start making press releases saying, guess what Rockets fans and all of China, I may never suit up for an NBA game again? You say some things in press releases/interviews, and you talk about other things within the organization. I've said this time and again, if you are an NBA player, just like if you have any other type of job, your communication with the public with regards to your job needs to represent the values your team (employer) wants conveyed to the fans (customers). Every player who goes out there and starts talking some mumbo jumbo, I don't care if they say they want to leave or they think their team won't make a good enough offer, that's just unprofessional.

im saying if Yao is in a contract year and everyone in the press is asking him "Will you be back next year?" he should answer as honestly as possible. He is not a politician. If he thinks he might be back next year he should say so.

My comment was in response to the following: "who are 50/50 on staying with their teams. Either you are 100% or you want out." "If you're 50/50". "Telling the world you are 50/50"

He is implying that Amare himself is 50/50 on staying. Amare never said that. he said he thinks there is a 50/50 chance he will be back. amare has always said he wants to come back to phx period.

Im not saying Amare always says things in the most diplomatic way. I'm just saying that it is unfair and inaccurate to say amare wants out or 50% wants out or is only 50% committed.

Most companies have specific people who's role it is to speak to the public. And everyone else is not allowed to speak to the public on behalf of the company. And if they do speak, it is off the record and no-one knows who said it.

In the NBA however, they have mandatory media sessions for all players. Why do you think that is? Because they're so concerned about their image?

This is entertainment. Not an accounting firm.
