would that be a good trade?
I think you do that - getting 11 really balances it IMO.
I dont think TOR would take on Nurkic in any deal though - they just paid a FRP for Jakob and he was pretty excellent once in TOR, and by all accounts resigning him is basically done. They wont accept Nurkic as a 18M AV backup C.
There are like 2-3 teams in the NBA that would look at Nurkic as a upgrade at C - Dallas being the most obvious, but they have little incentive to add (#10 is too much, Josh Green and Hardy somewhat redundant w/ our roster construction, no other assets really).
Something simple, if ATL wants to cut salary, would be -
PDX OUT - Nurkic, Little, 23
PDX IN - Collins, 15
ATL OUT - Collins, 15
ATL IN - Bertans, Little, 23
DAL OUT - Bertans
DAL IN - Nurkic
Still totally in on buying low for John Collins. Moving up to 15 could open a Myles Turner move IMO - something like -
PDX OUT - Simons, 15
PDX IN - Turner, 26, 29
ORL OUT - Harris, 11
ORL IN - Simons
IND OUT - Turner, 26, 29
IND IN - Harris, 11, 15
Then flip 26 to regain our pick from CHI - we still have #5, #29, #43 and a roster that looks much improved (Albeit I see issues w/ 2nd unit shooting + starting unit creation) -
G - Damian Lillard / Keon Johnson
G - Matisse Thybulle / Shadeon Sharpe
F - Jerami Grant / Anthony Black (5)
F - John Collins / Justice Winslow
C - Myles Turner / Drew Eubanks
