Re: Hinrich and the #17?!?!
Trade exception most likely. I don't think the Bulls want any salary back. Why do the Wizards want another point? Wall, Arenas and Kirk. I also dont understand why we just didnt get Cook and the 18th. Cheaper and only one spot back

It's for trade exception, and I'm not sure why we do it, #17 is not worth taking on 17 million $ contract.

I doubt the KINGS end up being the trade partner with the BULLS but if they were i am confident we trade either beno or garcia & we absorbe the rest of the difference salary wise !

You do it if there is a player at that spot you really like. Maybe go after a young player like Avery Bradley that could develop into a long-term option next to 'Reke.
They could always reach a buyout or simply sit on his contract and then try to trade him once he becomes an expiring contract. Or this may free them to find a taker via trade for one of Udrih or Garcia.

No, the only reason the Bulls are interested in this sort of deal at all is to drop enough salary to be able to offer two max contracts. I don't think the salary difference with them taking back either of those contracts would be enough.
