We'll see how this looks. JT as a talent is easily worth that, but talent value can tank in tankable situations.

That was called paying market value. Unlike anything known about JT's summer there were at least 2 other teams seriously trying to get Hayes to sign, one of which has already tried to trade back for him.

Contract still too long unless chuck gets moved.

Think a higher pay for 2 year would have been better.

At least this contract was not as expensive as it could have been.

According to Shamsports:

Jason Thompson - five years, $30,187,500, with only $2.65 mil of $6.825 mil guaranteed in 2016-17.
