Elite length because it’s questionable if he’s a 3 or 4 IMO. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As a Trae fan I know others don’t feel he will translate (not that I need him with Fox at 2)
Compared to his height he doesn't really have elite length. And yes, if he's a PF then he's around average.
Elite length as in the average player with his skill set is between 6'6-6'8. The difference is hes 6'10 or 6'11. Regardless what position he plays he stands to be a matchup nightmare for either small forwards or power forwards.
Look at Durant its nearly impossible to block his shots.
I'm not saying we don't take Doncic. All I'm saying is that I have a really good feeling that if MPJ can stay healthy, hes going to be playing in many all star games down the line.
Durant has like a 7'5" wingspan. I don't see Porter Jr. as anything like Durant, I get the comparisons but unless he develops the same smooth off the dribble shot it won't happen. Porter Jr. has more of an off balanced set shot. I will say I still continue to believe his best position will be PF and I agree, at PF he could be a matchup problem for other teams. The thing he's got going for him is he doesn't mind roughing it up under the basket. The question is whether his body holds up playing that way.
I'm open to multiple players at 2. I can see arguments for drafting any of 3-5 players there and can see the arguments for Porter Jr so I hear you.
