I've actually seen many people make that comparison believe it or not, but imo Reddish has more of an offensive pedigree . Porter Jr didn't play AAU ball and was never known as a bigtime scorer, he was more of an all-around prospect who shined in Georgetown within their Princeton offense.
Reddish has shown out at on the D1 prep circuit, Nike EYBL etc and has a track record of proven scoring talent. I'm not reading too much into this season at Duke, he's a 19yo kid and in a very weird situation where the offense is set up for his more hyped teammates to showcase themselves. I see Reddish as having a Paul George type persona, due to his laidback nature he may be reluctant to take on an assertive role early on BUT eventually will grow into his talent.
But yeah, I think he's going to be a better defender than Otto Porter Jr (stronger/more athletic).. doesn't have the midrange shooting touch, but he's got a better jumper off the dribble and superior handle. OP Jr couldn't pull up off the dribble like this
Let's be clear, Cam hasn't shown us anything consistently outside of a potential volume 3 point shooter. His mid range is no where near a strength at this stage much less the NBA.
Yeh most of the highlgihts ive seen of him are just 3 point shots, rarely anything else. Part of that may be a function of who he's playing with though given Barrett and Zion handle so much within the mid range -> basket areas.
