It'll depend on the team but I'd bet on Embiid going 1st right now if I had to choose one.

This.
Come draft night there might be 5 guys I'd take ahead of Wiggins.
Julius Randle , Aaron Gordon, and Marcus Smart will never be picked ahead of wiggins, embiid, or jabari parker. Exum is a prospect that could go #1 due to Michael carter Williams success. Embiid could go #1 due to him being the only big man with size. Jabari Parker could be picked #1 since he is by far and away the most complete and nba ready player. I can't see any other player besides these 4 being #1. If you think wiggins is overrated, you must think Julius randle is overrated as well.

I'm not seeing the hype on WIggins either, but I think you're going a little overboard here. Who are the5 guys you would take over him?

This guy is garbage! He has no skills other than jumping higher than most people. Florida is playing zone and no one can create a shot for themselves!

I'd take Exum/Embiid/Parker all over him based on what I've seen so far.

Kansas playing weak is the most impactful thing. Being tagged with an underperforming team is one of the worst things that happens to a prospective top pick.

Problem with Wiggins is he passes way too much. He's really good when he wants to be

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

This guy can take two steps from the three point line and be at the basket for a finish over inferior athletes. I'd still take Wiggins top 3 without hesitation.

Wiggins played great tonight.
KU will contend by years end. Just need to bench Naadir Tharpe and never play Tarik Black again.

I'd take Parker, Randle, Gordon, Smart, Embiid and Exum all ahead of him.

So? Being able to use his athleticism against college bums doesn't mean jack. Unlike the 6 prospects listed above, Wiggins hasn't shown any real basketball skills that can translate to the NBA.

Best high school prospect in a decade plays 9 college basketball games (and actually plays pretty well, no less) and suddenly he's not a top 5 pick? Relax.

Lol @ the "hasn't shown any real basketball skills that can translate to the NBA."
Yes, because being an elite college basketball player from day 1 at 18 years old typically involves a lack of NBA skill.

Then he must not pass very well, because he has a grand total of 1 assist in the last 4 games?

Gordon's a smallish PF without great reach who doesn't shoot real well.

Shooting can easily improve, and it's not like he's a perimeter player prospect with a broken jumpshot. His game doesn't rely on his shooting prowess.
Honestly, I agree, he can certainly put on some weight, but his frame will handle it well and he isn't exactly small in the height/length sense. Higher standing reach than Julius Randle and a slightly greater wingspan to boot.
Kid can ball man...I'm just sayin.

Don't know how many saw it, but Wiggins scored 11 points in about 1:30 last night and almost was able to turn a blowout into a win by himself. It may not be that important in terms of wins or losses, but I think it helps show that he does have a little alpha dog personality in him. Stats:
7-15 FG
4-9 3PT
8-8 FT
11 RBDs (4 O - 7 D)
2 BLKs
Overall a very impressive statline. Really like the Paul George comparison for him, though Wiggins will come in a year younger and probably play better than George did his rookie year (thinking more like last year's George). Is that a lock for the #1 pick? I think it is a lock for the top tier, but at that tier I think teams pick on need.

Agreed. That's the kind of game some of us were waiting for. I think teams wanting a player who they can run their offense through right away will take Parker ahead of Wiggins, and depending on how Embiid looks, a team wanting a center could pick him first. But Wiggins has probably the best chance right now of going 1st.
