oh god, not this again. players learn as much as they have a capacity for learning. robinson was not a blue chipper, but by the time he ended his career under self he was big12 POY and a top 5 pick. t-rob's decisions since have nothing to do with self. i doubt self told him to work on SF skills in an attempt to sell him as a skilled forward. that was robinson's decision. robinson's problems since he's been in the nba are that he wanted to be something that he wasn't, he's a spazz who plays too fast for his own good and he lacked a little bit of self-awareness. he wanted to prove that he could do what he couldn't do as opposed to sticking to the things that he CAN do.
