I think he's an undersized center. Nothing spectacular about his game. Its possible he can be taken high, but power forward is the deepest position in this draft and there are a lot of younger guys with upside there. Lauri Markkanen, Harry Giles, DJ Wilson, Isaiah Hartenstein, Ivan Rabb, Caleb Swanigan, TJ Leaf, Tyler Lydon, Alpha Kaba, John Collins (and there are more guys that could go higher). His stock is really dependent on other player's stock.
Motley has an elite skill for sure: Interview Composure.
But in all seriousness, I agree Blazinaway that Motley is underrated. He seems to be a great teammate who respects and is respected by his teammates. He brings a ton of energy and looks like he has a good understanding of the game. He's pretty darn athletic, so while he doesn't have any other elite skills, I think he can develop a lot of high-end skills. He's just a solid player.
Yeah, I would not expect him to be a high level player but perhaps a solid rotational guy, and if you can get a player like that in the late 20's or 30's that IMO is a good pick. He seems to have a decent all around skillset. The Blazers badly need bigs and ones that can come in and contribute soon as opposed to 2-3 yrs at least development guys, I was thinking Motley might fit the bill,.
