Pretty sure I threw his name out in this thread a couple months ago. Haven't watched him play, but from a production/tools standpoint he was interesting to me.

Kinda moves like Aaron Gordon and if he shoots he has a chance.

Yeah, he impressed people at the PIT. Him and Derrick White.

To reach back a ways, does Jacob Wiley remind anyone of Shawn Marion - same size, extremely athletic, undersized PF or SF/PF tweener?

On very limited data Wiley appears to shoot better, but I would want to look long and hard at his form given the data is so limited. Wiley gets more blocks ( 3.2/40 vs 2.3/40 ) and assists (2.6/40 vs 1.5/40). Their rebound rates are pretty close (11.3 vs 10.6 /40 ). On the negative side Wiley has way more TO's than Marion had in college (4.5/40 vs 1.7/40), and has many less steals (3.1/40 vs 0.9/40).

If Ilimane Diop is in this draft he should be a top 10 pick. I'd take him before Zach Collins.

I wonder why DX doesn't have him in the 2017 or 2018 mock drafts.

Diop is really good on defense. On offense he just dunks and has a little 8-10 foot jumper. He's definitely a very good defensive prospect, but I don't know about top 10 pick though.

He's super athletic and very fluid running. His jump shot is improving and he can now step back to 16 feet. I'd take him before both Zach Collins and Dennis Smith Jr. He has a super high floor, great body. Needs a lot of work in the post, but he's a freak defensively. He's one-dimensional, but there are tons of elite one-dimensional players. He's comparible to Serge Ibaka for me, but he's more athletic and more fluid. If players like Clint Capella are starters, this guy will be better at the same role. He's athletically elite for a PF/C.

He kind of reminds me of like a poor man's Mutumbo...more athletic than Mutombo, but he's like Mutumbo physically, only he plays soft. He has a mid range jumper that Mutombo didn't have, but the difference is he plays soft.

He really has that crazy length and shot blocking potential (because of a feel to get the block) like Mutombo, but unlike Mutombo, he's plays soft. Still, the fact he has a decent mid range jumper, and is a decent free throw shooter is nice.

Recently what players that were labeled soft before they were drafted actually ended up not working out? Dragan Bender might be a little early to say. It just seems like being soft isn't an excuse in the NBA anymore. There are so many analytics and strategy behind it all that soft players are able to do what they need to do despite being "soft." He seems to have high motor at times so I'm not worried. You can't really call players soft till they get into the NBA IMO.

I liked him before college and I still like him. He's a project as a PG, but he can be a good shooting guard. He has a great first step, but he needs to finish better. I kind of compare him to a raw Brandon Knight. He loves those pull-up mid-range shots. He just needs to be refined overall. Just super hot and cold right now because his shot isn't consistent. If he ever becomes a point guard he could be really good offensively. If not, he could become a quick scorer.

He seems athletic and a shot maker. My issue is it seems like he's the sort of kid that physically looks like a great prospect if he's a PG, but is a bit undersized/small frame to be a 2. However, it seems like he likes to play like a scoring guard, but not necessarily that effective off-ball.

Does he have that upside as a passer/floor general to turn in to a PG with time? Because that's where I see most of his NBA upside/appeal.

Isn't he automatically in the draft as he's 22 this year?

I'm agreed on that. He's definitely undersized for a 2 unless he comes on the bench and is only there for scoring. No matter what he will spend time in the D-League. He needs to learn to be a consistent scorer if he's even going to come off the bench in the NBA, but IF he can learn to distribute, his pick and roll potential is very high. He's not a distributer at all right now, but IMO he has the speed open passing lanes and it could make massing much easier for him. I don't even think he has a bad feel for the game, he just seems comfortable with what he does. His passing is still far away, but he's also really young. Its all really about patience and finding a team that will use him right, but he's definitely a gamble. I could easily see a team giving up on him in a few years, but I could also see him flourishing on the right team.

Could he be a fit in Philly if Simmons is running the point? Not the primary ball handler and guards opposing PG. Could see them grabbing him with the excess of 2nd round picks.

Just an update. Apparently Kobi Simmons has changed his shot and is putting them in the net at the combine.

I think Ike Anigbogu and Isaiah Hicks are kind of underrated. Both are stealth really athletic. I think both of their games will be better in the NBA.

What is the take on Semi Ojeleye? Man people are sleeping on this guy, I feel. Great athlete. Good instincts. A bit of a tweener but it looks like he has a solid foundation to build on going into the NBA. I'm really falling in love with his tools and playmaking on both ends. I think if you put him with the right trainer, great things will happen.

I like him as a guy who should be taken in the 20s, but I've heard scouts see him as a late first/early second.
