Doubtful. If anything, I think we see rotation changes. I think we see Barry in more key minutes during the game. I HOPE we see Barry in more key minutes during the game, he's the second best outside shooter in the gym behind Peja.

That would be the primary option to do against someone of CP3's calibur. Turn a slasher into a shooter. In the case of TP, he isn't known for his better defense. And even if the Spurs were to close down the interior. He finds a way to dish out to his teammates. The Spurs would have to do a better job rotating on defense in order to keep the pressure on New Orleans.

I actually find Parker to be a below average defender, so that wasn't the reason I'd put him on him..I think at this point, we're better off putting Bowen on Peja..so put Parker and Paul, and make him shoot jumpers..Tony definitely has the quickness to stay in front of him, so just force him to take the J as much as possible..
honestly though, I'm not even worried about the defense..it has only let us down in the 2nd half, and we wouldn't be talking about this if the offense was showing anything positive..at some point, we just have to score..

lack of explosiveness in offense
The problem with the Spurs is that they've completely lacked offensive explosiveness this year. They've rarely blown out teams this year.
The problem is that offense is too focused on the big three and nobody else seems to step up.
The first half of game 1 had some good distribution, unfortunately Tim Duncan was completely absent. However, despite having a high percentage on that half, the Hornets were still close.
What's even worse is that they need to have stops. I haven't seen them do this with the Hornets.

Exactly.
07-08 Point Differential +4.79
06-07 Point Differential +8.40
04-05 Point Differential +7.80
Record when we score 100+ = 27-1
Record when opponent scores 100+ = 5-10
Record in playoffs when we score 100+ = 3-0
Record in playoffs when opponent scores 100+ = 1-3
So as long as we score 100, we're fine. Easier said than done, I know.

Exactly! That's why we need to figure out 'who' to contain and 'how'. When we score, they score. When we don't score, they score. I don't recall them going into any significant scoring draughts.
However, over the last few weeks of the season we became notorious for having a 'dead quarter' in each game, usually occuring in the 2nd half.

Heh, you look foolish at this point no matter what happens in the end.
Exactly how do I look foolish? I'm not sure if you are aware of this but this is a basketball forum. So I log on and throw out my opinion on basketball related topics. At the beginning of this series I thought the Spurs would beat the Hornets in 5-6 games (Normally I would have said 5 but the Hornets had home court advantage). So as crazy as this sounds, I decided to post this.
Here's the bottom line - So far I've been WRONG. I'm big enough to admit this. Right now the Spurs look old and a little too confident/arrogant.

I disagree. I think we look shaky and lacking in confidence altogether, which is part of the problem. I don't buy for a second that the Spurs are an arrogant team.
I don't see how there could be a lack of confidence. They played brilliantly late in games against the Suns and never showed any signs of being nervous or lacking in confidence.
I think they're overconfident right now. They beat a team that many people had winning that series as well as the championship. They did it by executing down the stretch and overcoming double digit deficits. They came into this series expecting the Hornets to roll over and fall on their faces late in games. There was a lack of urgency in both of the games. An urgency that was there in 4 of the 5 games against the Suns.
I don't think the Spurs are an "arrogant team" but I do think that they came into this series with an arrogant attitude or a feeling that they didn't have to put forth the same effort against the Hornets that they did in the Suns series (which to me is the same thing). Just look at NOH offensive rebounding from game 1. It was ridiculous. That's what cost them that game IMO (along with the 5,000 3's they put up) and it had nothing to do with Chris Paul or David West or any other matchup problem.
