Moving a little ways down could be something like: Ridnour + #4 for Malik Rose #6 Or possibly something with the #9.
My guess is moving signifcantly down is a play to get Iggy or Kevin Martin (not likely), or Beidrins.
Obviously those could require more then the #4, but I don't know what else they could be looking at..
Two different team executives told me in Orlando that Sonics GM Sam Presti had called about trading the No. 4 pick. One trade would have the Sonics moving down a few spots in the lottery. The other would have the Sonics moving significantly down.
I'm not sure how much to read into it because a Sonics source made it sound like the team was high on Jerryd Bayless, and I doubt he's on the board past No. 6. We'll see what happens.

I really wouldn't like to move down in this draft, as i couldn't think who we should take in the later lottery.
So moving down should bring back a guy that is already established in this league but still young enough to be paired with Durant and Green.
A guy like Devin Harris of the Nets comes to mind.
So maybe something like #4, Wilcox, Griffin for #21, Harris, Van Horn
BTW: We couldn't trade for Biedrins or Igoudala during the draft, as both of them are RFA's this summer. Martin is a guy i'm not that interested in.

I'm curious as to why you're not a fan of Kevin martin's? I think he'd be the perfect fit next to KD. that's a good point about the RFA's I didn't even think of that. So, I guess that leaves as people we could target with our pick and trading substantially low in the lottery as... Devin harris, Raymond Felton, Kevin Martin, Andrea Bargnani Maybe?
Other then that, I don't really see any other people we'd consider giving up our pick for..

I don't think that Martin is a good fit next to Durant.
He needs the ball in his hands to be effective and he's a scorer only.
We've already got Durant for that role and i'd rather have some more versatile players(especially on the the defensive end) next to Durant, to build that team.

Assuming there is no negotiated settlement of the Sonics' court cases that result in Bennet losing ownership of the team, I'm sure Presti's marching orders are to: (a) develop the team for the future & (b) reduce near term payroll. Bottom line is that any player personnel scenario not fitting those two criteria is not likely to happen.
Scenarios that fit include:
- adding a couple more solid rookies
- stashing 2nd rounder picks in Europe
- jettisoning L Ridnour for a less costly & expiring contract
- encouraging D Wilkins to opt out
- only offering R Swift a minimum make good contract
- keeping only 13 players on the roster
Scenarios that don't fit include:
- any trade that increases the 2008/09 total salary
- any transaction that requires the Sonics to pay more than 13 players
We might not like it, but it is what it is. Besides, those two rookies Presti's going to add are going to be keepers. Here's hoping it'll be OJ Mayo & B Rush.

Ridnour had his worst year. Trading Watson while his value is high makes more sense to me. Let Rid start next year and his value will come way up. Then trade him the following year.
I don't see a clear preference after the top 10 picks. For example, Robin Lopez and Brandon Rush are all over the mock drafts depending on who guys like. All of these guys are projects at that point. Our #24 pick could net just as good a player as #15. We just get more guys to chose from.

This is a little OT but..
"...more fond of Oklahoma City than Seattle is Indiana guard Eric Gordon. 'That would be a better spot (Oklahoma City) than being all the way up there in Seattle,' Gordon said...."
Don't be surprised with an Eric Gordon 4th pick?

Ain't gonna happen. Ridnour is crap. I swear, he's quickly ascending my list of least favorite Sonics of all time, with Jim McIlvaine and Paul Westphal. He failed on a veteran team because he was all scared of big, scary Ray Allen. He failed on a young team that could have used a real leader at the point guard position. He's a little girly man, he never improved defensively, his offensive efficiency is low... I've just got no respect for his game whatsoever. If we can trade him along with a second round pick for an expiring, I'll be ecstatic.

Hey what do you guys think of Anthony Randolph? He's a 3/4 with a great handle, sweet jumper and an inside game. He's also a nice shot blocker and plays good help D. He's another 6'10 skinny guy that weighs about 200lbs though. We could start three really mobile big guys that have a handle with inside/outside games at 2/3/4. They'd also be really long on defense and create TONS of mismatches.

I'm starting to think Kevin Love is the guy. I would take him at 4 if I think he is the guy. Last year I really thought Thaddeus Young or Rodney Stuckey was the guy I wanted for the Sonics but I harped on not taking them that high. Now if that draft was today they both would go top 5. If Kevin Love is the guy I say take him 4.

Also a great passer and dribbler for his size.
