all of the girls look so ghetto. the sequined hats? hoods on their heads?

there also is little that's appealing about the girls. they either look like men, look like men in drag or they clearly have 15-year-old girl bodies.[/b]
so what part is it that you like. no matter what, you lose.

or you gain herpes.

HERPES!

Psychologists state that finding individuals under the age of 13 to be sexually attractive is pedophilia.

Don't you find it a little bit embarrassing to claim to be a pedophile on a public board?

I'm pretty surprised that this thread is allowed to continue considering it is mostly jokes about rape and how the young girls who got raped look like they wanted it and whatnot.

I understand that lots of the posters here are children, but come on, these pictures are of children. The mods aren't children. How is this acceptable?

Look "ghetto"? Hoods on their heads?

That's some ignorant sh** right there.

please kindly explain to me what's ignorant about what i said, since the term "ghetto" is used frequently - and not in a racist way - to describe hiphop culture.

from the "great" source Wikipedia: "A ghetto is a section of a city occupied by a minority group who live there especially because of social, economic, or legal pressure. ...A ghetto is a section of a city occupied by a minority group who live there especially because of social, economic, or legal pressure...."Ghetto" is also used in slang as an adjective to describe how city-like or thug-like something is."

so i will await your apology.

if i said "Projects", would you feel better?

Yes, because people that wear hats with sequins and hoodies are considered ghetto. No apology coming from me that's for sure.

If you think girls don't look cute in hoodies, something is wrong with YOU.

And the fact that you think "ghetto is used frequently to describe hiphop culture" just shows you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about... at all.

did you read your post before you posted it?

and its strange...in my years of working in Rexdale and the heart of Scarborough, not once has anyone found what i say to be offensive and they have the utmost respect for me. how you were offended is beyond me.

a Friday, leaving-work addition to my ignore list. welcome :D

That's overly simplistic. The analogy isn't so good because the bartender is subject to the duties and liabilities laid out in the bar's liquor license. Also, the bartender won't be charged under the criminal law, he'll be charged under the liquor control act, so the burden of proof is much lower.

The bartender can be liable even where he honestly believed that the person in question was over age ... all that matters is that he served a minor.

On the other hand, in the criminal law an honestly held mistake is usually a defence. Even a completely unreasonable mistake about someone's age could be a defence if the judge/jury believed that the defendant was honestly mistaken.

The judge/jury might say that the defendant should have investigated further, but on the other hand they might not. The outcome still very much depends on the circumstances of the case, the persuasiveness of the lawyers, and of course the sentiments of judge or jury.

It also really varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction ... the law in Florida is different from the law in Canada. In some jurisdictions there is no mistake of fact available for statutory rape, but in Canada there is (which I assume we're talking about since that's where most of us are from), and I'm pretty sure there is in most American jurisdictions (the criminal law varies state by state in America).

Actually the bartender will be convicted with much greater ease, for a number of reasons ... but on the other hand, the bartender is facing a fine, not jailtime.

The explanation was meant to be simplistic. Life in general is easier if you use your common sense, no need to haul law books and the liquor control act with you every where you go.

Most people know to say 'no' when a teen asks them to buy smokes in front of a convenience store. Their decision is based on common sense not because of section X paragraph Y of some law book.

Yogi wasn't there some sort of controversy with our Premier's office referring to someone as a "ghetto" guy?

I think in these circumstances one needs to look at the comment and see if it is meant to disparage or insult.

correct.

if i pointed to someone and said "you are a ghetto person", that would be racist.
if i said that a look is "ghetto", i think its understood that its meant to describe an urban look.

end of discussion.

Typical behaviour of a stubborn individual who thinks his opinion is the only right one. Run away from the discussion by putting me on ignore punani boy! Oops, that term might be too "ghetto" or "hiphop" for some people. Time to put on my sequined hoody and head to the game.

Last I checked I can choose to agree or disagree, or criticize any of the statements that are made on this board.
