The Raps have one of the best C situations in the league when healthy. We have 2 guys who can defend and hit from the outside.

Drummond is unplayable in a lot of matchups defensively and he's also taken out of games because of his poor FT shooting. The idea of giving him a big deal screams treadmill. He doesn't put the Raps over the top. Just an expensive complimentary piece.

Good points. Counter point: we have high IQ players, good defenders, and three point shooters. What we don't have is good old fashioned size, toughness, and energy on the inside. And he's only 26 and would likely be productive throughout his next contract. It's not the worst idea.

ibaka is einstein compared to this guy and this team is not lacking in toughness. we can go after tristan thompson if we want rebounding.

Pretty much the only thing Drummond does better than Gasol is rebound, which in turn gives him a lot more easy points in the paint. Gasol has the advantage offensively (shooting, playmaking, spacing, etc.) and defensively by far, and he doesn't clog the paint.

The only way I'd trade for Drummond is if Ibaka was the big salary filler going the other way, and we keep Gasol. While there would be some redundancy with that pairing since you probably couldn't play them together all the much, if the Raps want to make a serious run this year, they'll need Gasol.

i wouldn't even do it then. ibaka is our only trade piece this year. any move involving him would have to be an upgrade trade to help us now and the future.

No thanks, terrible fit.

Drummond puts up rebounding numbers like Jose used to put up assists.

Drummond is a more impactful player than TT. I disagree that he's too dumb to be worth it, and his activity makes up for a lot. One year with Lowry and Nurse and he'll figure some things out. We need to find a solution at C at some point.

drummond's contract ends in 2021, at which time we'll be going after giannis. he's not a long term option at C. i'd rather not waste an asset for a short term move.

Neither Gasol or Ibaka will re-sign in Detroit so I can't see a trade working.

I'd almost rather keep our pick than include it on a rental for Drummond.

I'm not big on Drummond anyways fit wise.

Casey knows many of our players, I feel he'll want a package that includes OG, not sure if he'd want Norm

Masai didn't trade pascal or OG for kawhi and green.

there is no way he is parting with OG for drummond.

it would be for ibaka and scraps.

OG isn’t going anywhere. Norm is the only wing rotation player on the block. Hes very expendable.

I posted earlier in the thread that you only do this if you don't think Giannis is coming. Drummond will likely be looking to opt out this summer to get paid now so trading for his bird rights would be important with Siakam and Lowry's extensions already done.

We need an elite scorer and playmaker. Derozan makes so much sense it’s not even funny
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I feel like you could make a 15 minute compilation of just Drummond biting on JV's pumpfakes

If you go through the 11-12 losses, how many of those were do to poor rebounding.

Tristan for a year rent makes much more sense. Move Pascal to 3 spot and we good to go.
