Yes. 10000% Best overal prospect in this draft with the highest ceiling.

Guys with his skill at length dont come along often. As hard as it will be not getting Suggs, Masai will have an easier time getting a guy who brings a similar skill set then say a guy like Mobley.

I think the Player the Cavs want the most....is Jalen Green. Position and fit-wise...it makes too much sense. This would be their starting 5 with Jalen Green.

Darius Garland
Jalen Green
Isaac Okoro
Kevin Love/Larry Nance
Jarrett Allen

If Houston Is zeroing in on Jalen Green....would Cleveland do Sexton + 3rd for 2nd + small add?

I don’t think Houston would want Sexton (while paying him North of 100M) and a KPJ back court again while also paying John Wall’s contract.

I see Cleveland trading down more than I do see them trading up.

I could see Cleveland just pulling this thing down to the studs;

If there is any hesitation about extending Allen to what will be a massive contract, I could see them taking Mobley and unloading Sexton, Allen, and in the process Love to give them a few seasons with low salary commitments to their kids to evaluate what they have and asset gather much like the OKC is doing.

Houston's interest in Green could also simply be smart asset management.
Green fits beside Garland pretty well so if they feel they can shake down the Cavs and get Mobley at three why not?

You make a good point. Sexton doesn't really make sense in Houston.

I think there’s a lot of smokescreen coming out of the Cavs and Rockets.

Rockets will most likely take Mobley at #2 and Cavs take Green #3

Nah. Rockets are taking Green. They are playing games with Detroit, hoping DET passes on Cade bc they'll gladly take Cade as well. But everything points to them taking Green and running KPJR and Green out.

A Green/KPJ backcourt would be comically bad on the defensive end. A part of me wants to see that.

Nate Duncan and Danny Leroux did a prospect evaluation on Jalen Suggs last night. They don't seem to be very high on him, but I find they are rarely high on anyone in their evaluations. Have a listen.

He’s super low on Mobley and Suggs.

That means Mobley and Suggs are confirmed superstars based off his prospect takes in the past

Listening to their podcast in past years...I remember them being unusually high on guys like Solomon Hill and Juancho Hernangomez...and neither of them are actually all that special.

After the 2016 draft they criticized the Raptors for not trading up to 8 and taking Marquese Chriss the way Phoenix did. They said it was going to be one of our only opportunities to get a top prospect and is was a big miss that we didn't do it. I mean, if we were "wasting" that 27 pick on a guy like Siakam, why not just use it to trade up instead? That was their thinking.

I love Suggs, and I'm thrilled that we're likely going to get him. Personally, he's the kind of prospect I can see being really good and staying on the team for a long time. Obviously Suggs totally fits the program with his skill set, smarts and work ethic.

But, I think the point you make about finding a guy with a similar skillset is really valid. If we get Mobley, it suddenly makes a lot of sense to bring back Lowry, S&T Lowry for a guard like Seth Curry, Tyrese Maxey, etc., or find another guard (like Dinwiddie) in Free agency. We can still fill in our bigs with free agents, but it just becomes a bit more difficult as the guys available (Noel, Olynyk, Birch etc) are good but have bigger holes in their games.

If you believe in Mobley as a prospect, he's the type of player that is very difficult to get in free agency or trade. Considering we were able to get some really good guards like Norm and Fred in the 2nd rd/undrafted, there's a lot more potential to get those types of guys at a lower price.

Personally, I really hope that Cleveland takes Barnes, and Masai/Bobby have the choice of Suggs or Mobley. I have enough faith in our FO to make the right decision there.

It's down to Mobley and Suggs. Even with the Cavs looking to move on from Sexton from what I've read they would slide Okoro to the SG position and have Garland run the offense. Either the Cavs reach for Kuminga or Barnes or they draft Mobley.

The Houston Astros were intentionally bad - BAD - for many seasons while acquiring top prospects year after year. Obviously it paid off for them. After that experience, I can see their fanbase having patience for a similar Rockets' strategy.

100%

Green, Wood and KPJ putting on an offensive clinic will be enough excitement to stomach the losses while being extremely hopeful for the future for the fanbase

They are going to get Suggs and tank and have Chet say he'll only sign with the Rockets to play with Suggs.

Hardy and Banchero going ahead if need be.

If that happens, expect Paige Bueckers to declare her eligibility for the NBA draft and insist that she play with Jalen and Chet.
