I do. That’s what this league is all about at this point. His free throws aren’t great, but it’s not horrible either. I could see a RoCo or Josh Hart style career for CMB.
I guess I am higher than most people on CMB because I don't think of positions so much.
Calling him RoCo just looks at one-two things he does well.
CMB is a pretty advanced as playmaker with a 25 USG and 19 AST%. He has higher turnovers this year playing with a young team, but he can make reads well.
He can guard 2-5 in the NBA. I have seen his weight listed at 240 lbs which is heavy, but he has light feet like OG. He can guard pick and roll well. To me he fits the OG body-type and I think under NBA training he keeps his weight around 235 lbs. For me, that 235 lbs 6'7 /6'8 build and crazy defensive metrics is the sweet spot. Strong, good feet and NBA ready body means this 20 year-old can play instant minutes. Watch - OKC is going to trade up for him.
Size and weight wise he is like Draymond Green and his impact on both ends also looks projects well. Draymond is a top end outcome, but he also has potential to be like PJ Washington on Dallas or Jared Vanderbilt who when healthy is a huge two-way value. These are all guys playoff teams target. CMB is unselfish and an intangibles guy all at 20 YO. I think the growth potential is special with him even if the outside shot is slow to develop.
RoCo is literally better than Washington and Vanderbilt. I’d take him 11/10 times over both of them. And RoCo stuffs the stat sheet, much like I expect CMB to do.
