I am not saying that LeBron will sign here but I don't understand why everyone is so negative about the whole speculation. Are we that jaded here in Toronto that we do not want to even entertain the thought that a star / Superstar / one of the 50 greatest players ever would want to play here?

To speculate about h you have to trade in a sign and trade scenario is moot cause you give what you have to get him and that is that is regardless if you think it is good value or not. In the case of a sign and trade he would be locked up long term and we have ample space next year to be able to add further pieces as needed and the star power to attract those pieces at a fare price.

There are reports that LeBron was not committed to the Heat after meeting with them and there are several reports that he has not yet met with and of the key figures in the Cleveland organization. These are all just reports and may or may not be actually true but they are no more valid that the reports of him in Toronto in my opinion but I know that we each have our own BS tolerances on this forum ;)

Until all is said and done I will hold on to the belief that we are a destination and a realistic option for the best player in basketball and we have the leadership to get him here. Here's hoping that we will be the Basketball story of the summer come 12:01am.

It makes zero sense in the context of the other moves so far. If you're a serious player for LeBron, you don't junk up your cap space with additional salary commitments for Williams/Patterson/Vasquez.

For some reason I can't post the link, but there's some interesting tweets from Michael Grange if you look at his twitter.

"Cant happen .."

"Just waiting for him to call", in reference to a fan telling him to just tell us that LBJ is signing with us.

Since free agency signings can now officially be signed, any truth behind this you think? Or all just a fun and coincidental thing?

My goldendoodle Bella (my wife named her) and cat Bonzai both know more about hoops than Bobcat.

Maybe we are doing them a slolid by working out a sign and trade and we need the assets to be able to facilitate the move and help them fill out their roster. I beleive that is also the only way that we could offer James 5 years as was reported by Bowe right? (yeah I know credable source) remember Miami gave us the pick for bosh when they realy didnt have too. Just guessing though.

Bo also mentioned that the leafs traded the #8 pick for James. No joke, read his twitter.

Yeah I know. Hence my (yeah I know credable source) comment. I am trying to be the positive voice on this topic.

I thought for a second it said listening to a pitch from Toronto. I know this isn't gonna happen but damn when are we gonna be a bride.

Toronto is the friend with all the qualities in the world that no girl wants for no apparent reason.

Technically this clown isn't wrong...LeBron either signs with us or he doesn't, which is 50/50.

Return to Toronto Raptors
