So, again didn't get a chance to watch the game, but we squeaked it out.
Hope BI is okay.
UGLY game from a shooting standpoint.
RJ's final shooting line looks pretty bleh at 12-25, but he was 11/18 inside the arc, which is wild. Quick was 5/7 inside the arc. CMB crushed the boards at either end (6 O boards was really nice). Mamu did Mamu things.
Charlotte was only in this because we shot so poorly.
Watching the 15-min replay showed the good stuff. Scottie had a nice move on a live dribble into the top half of the paint early. Little drive left, spin back right into a hook. Ingram had a couple of nice shots before he left, and a nice pass to Walter in the corner. Barnes had that nice drive and spin at the rim coming out of transition, bunch of nice, hard drives in general. Nice turnaround at the bottom of the circle. Had a nice on-ball steal. Wasn't his night as a scorer, but there were moments. Barrett was looking like he had more spark and lift in his legs, and it up late. Had that And-1 from the right side with just under a minute left that was very timely, and another shot inside with like 20 seconds to go.
He was 5/15 going into the 4th quarter, and then just went bonkers. Quick was 3/13 going into the 4th, and then also came up big.
Watching Mamu rock an in-and-out dribble and then dumping it off for the assist in the paint was kinda cool, too.
They are the enemy, but the Ball to Bridges oop for the 1-hander was nice. Knueppel didn't have a great shooting night, but looked good in terms of getting to where he needed to be, had some nice passes. Seems like a solid player. Had a beautiful touch high off glass with his left hand in the 2nd.
Nail-biter. Lamelo getting the bucket with 1.6 to go must have felt like a death blow, and then Quick... "Had to call on Jesus for that one." LMAO, Quick, LMAO.
Charlotte's announcers are hysterical. Like soccer announcers.
