ya might as well trade him if FVV won't pass to him when he's wide open for the win...

They have brogdan, Lavert, Duarte. They're good at SG imo

By all defensive metrics is a plus defender and good team rebounder. He has a 3 point shot so he can fit with a Barnes' led team in a few years. I think Dragic (salary filler), a 2022 top 5 protected first round pick, Malachi Flynn is a fair trade. This year's draft is supposedly pretty weak, so its not a horrible time to trade our first round pick.

we aren't a contending team tho lol
we just lost to the worst roster in the nba by far

Best thing you can do is pluck guys who you know have allstar talent but haven't gotten the full opportunity and need a change of scenery. Another Kyle Lowry-type find.
I actually think Sabonis is the higher potential player. He's already put up allstar calibre numbers.
I see Turner as a high end role player. Solid starting C on a good team who can block shots and hits 3s, but I'd be surprised if he ever played in an allstar game.
Sabonis is a 2-time all-star, he's the bigger name I think, and should cost a lot more in a trade. I'd take Sabonis in a second, but I think he's closer to his ceiling than Turner. Turner I think would fit our system better, being a lot more versatile defensively and more able to stretch the floor.
The Raptors have had “their eyes on” both of Indiana’s bigs for years, according to a league source; Turner in particular. It’s not hard to see the fit. The seventh-year centre and former lottery pick is leading the NBA in blocked shots for the third time in four seasons. He’s also hitting 40 per cent of his threes. Sabonis isn’t the defender that Turner is, but he’s one of the craftiest low-post scoring threats in the game.
Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster will surely make a call and kick the tires, as they do whenever an impact player is believed to be available. But as the trade market heats up – this summer’s free agent signees are eligible to be moved starting next Wednesday, with the deadline scheduled for February 10 – they’ll have some big decisions to make.

- Raptors RealGM Forum re: Masai Ujiri - June 2023What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

He does want a bigger offensive role, but also wants defensive player of the year. Would he get more consideration for that in TO? He would fit like a glove here defefensively, and if we started winning games after trading for him, I think it would absolutely better his chances of getting it, cause he's not getting it in Indy.EFF3KT wrote:A concern I have with Turner is that his role here wouldn't be as different as it is with Indiana currently.
He seems to want a bigger role than just a role player but I don't see that changing as long as we have FVV, Pascal, and Scottie.
Maybe a change of scenery is really all he needs?
I would think they would want a better prospect than Malachidgr81 wrote:dragic, flynn and a protected first for turner.
any chance indy accepts?
