He shot 39% in college - that's what Fred shot in his last year at Wichita. Guys like Donovan Mitchell, Young, etc also shot around 40% in college.

I wouldn't fixate on that too much, it has a lot to do with the team you play on and the type of shots you take.

It all comes down to his shooting. Watching him in SL, he can play at NBA speed, makes good reads, great hands and makes good enough decisions, but at his height it all doesn't matter if he can't shoot consistently. Defenses will just play the pass all day.

He couldn't even shoot over 38% from the field in college. He not making the team, this is just some fodder for summer league.

Pretty sure they keep him for the 905 minimum. They just walked away from Banton so...

Except he's 5'7, just very hard to get shots up with that height in the NBA. Hope he does well, I just don't have many expectations. I think him making the 905 roster would be a success for him.

Regardless of height, he still pulls in the defense on his drives. That gravity will help if he continues to make creative plays off the dribble.

I’m cool if he scores 8 ppg on drives but makes the other 4 guys better.
