I don’t think he’ll turn out to be a bad rim protector but if that’s all we’re going to get out of the pick id rather go get Kessler or something.
I was a Queen fan but watching these playoffs I’m struggling to see how he isn’t played off the floor with his lack of speed and poor rim protection.
My vote is neither. I’m actually more in on Sorber who is the best of both worlds. Elite rim protector and has passing chops to play in the Darko offense.
This.
But if we really want Sorber, we can probably trade down to get him, plus another tier 5 pick.
All of the tier 4 players likely available around #9 just aren't that much better then the ten players in tier 5, at 15-24.
I'd rather get Sorber plus one of Kalkbrenner/Berringer/Clayton Jr and have two shots at landing a rotation level player, then to take a crap shoot bet on Maluach (who doesn't fit our style of play) or Queen (who probably can't stay on the court in the playoffs).
Sorber is a compromise between the two, but if we can trade down for an extra FRP, then I think we should.
Unless Masai is just SOLD on Bryant, or someone else who drops.
