Nah, not really lol. Even when Lowry and FVV were both starting, our guard depth was poor. We got away with it in 2019-2020 because we played FVV and Lowry near 37 minutes a game lol.
FVV went from being a back up to starting and we replaced that hole with Malachi Flynn lmao.
I don’t know what’s their solution to address the guard situation but looking for it in the second round or undrafted pool is not it lol.
I mean this is a bit misleading.
We also had Norman Powell as a backup guard that year who could have been a starter on most teams. The Raptors also signed undrafted rookie Terrence Davis who was decently productive for us that year. Issue was that TD had sexual assault allegations the next summer and we dropped him. Jalen Harris similarly also had drug problems and was suspended by the league so we could never really develop him.
Powell isn’t a guard, he’s a wing. He doesn’t have a guard skill set.
TD could of been a decent option but he had his own personal issues.
Jalen Harris shouldn’t be included with those guys above. His drug problems isn’t the reason why he isn’t in the NBA lol.
Guard includes point guards and shooting guards. Powell was a shooting guard.
