As soon as Portland drafts Miller, Lillard will ask out. As soon as that happens, Miami will table the best offer of Herro + Lowry + scrub or bad pick.

The Portland Trail Blazers are pursuing a trade with the Miami Heat for Bam Adebayo, a source tells Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
....
The Heat are unlikely to consider any approach from the Blazers unless it includes Shaedon Sharpe, the No. 3 pick and Anfernee Simons.
The Blazers don't reportedly covet either Pascal Siakam or OG Anunoby with the No. 3 pick. Adebayo and Paul George are the types of targets the Blazers would deem worthy with the pick.

Why?
MiamiSPX wrote:Paul George? He won't even play if he has a headache. His GP over the last 4 years is very concerning given his age and salary.

And I'm a big Bam fan but cmon...
make Bam the #1 option on a team and see how well he does.

That’s a smokescreen if I’ve ever seen one

I love Siakam but feel many Raps fans massively overrate him. But on the other hand, like Kevin O'Connor once said, he is "criminally underrated" by the U.S. media and other fanbases.
Prime Paul George was a force, but the dude simply never plays anymore if he doesn't feel like it (a sentiment that is shared by many LAC fans). And Bam is really good, but more of a #3 on a contender IMO.
Hilariously, Siakam is the only of the trio that has accomplished what many fans feel the other 2 can do, but haven't. Unreal.

Poeltl doesn't want to stick around for a rebuild, Fred is probably gonna walk, Portland doesn't covet OG or Siakam for the #3 pick, all probably forcing the front office to run back a team that's destined for mediocrity.
