We are, but if we're hoping for a higher pick, we need to fall into the bottom seven.
I think we are in the top 7, top 3 is probably too far as those teams arent going to win any more
Not likely but pick 5 or 6 should be our goal (both spots have huge jump in odds compared to 7-9). Cavs have been winning more games lately. Wizards had a rough schedule but after their game against the nets this Sunday their schedule REALLY starts to ease up.
If we trade Lowry and Norm I see this team possibly getting 5 or 6.
I agree with that as the potential (5th pick) in the hypothetical scenario we traded, not most probable (which for me is just securing top 10) but I can't actually picture a more "Raptor-like" pick at number 5 than the most probable guy at that slot; Jalen Suggs .
He'd also imo almost ironically fill the hole losing Kyle and Norm by essentially providing all that losing them cost with intangibles, leadership like Kyle but taking over the hole SG that Norm would leave. His personality and overall bball IQ I just think would be exactly the kinda stuff our management team values and the great thing about him is I think he has better potential as a scorer and closer than either player was.
To be honest, he strikes me as something like a Brandon Roy type for this generation of players. While personally I'd favor the other 4 players typically slotted ahead of him, he'd be ridiculously good "consolation prize" for just a weird year.
