I think we are in the top 7, top 3 is probably too far as those teams arent going to win any more

Not likely but pick 5 or 6 should be our goal (both spots have huge jump in odds compared to 7-9). Cavs have been winning more games lately. Wizards had a rough schedule but after their game against the nets this Sunday their schedule REALLY starts to ease up.

If we trade Lowry and Norm I see this team possibly getting 5 or 6.

I agree with that as the potential (5th pick) in the hypothetical scenario we traded, not most probable (which for me is just securing top 10) but I can't actually picture a more "Raptor-like" pick at number 5 than the most probable guy at that slot; Jalen Suggs .

He'd also imo almost ironically fill the hole losing Kyle and Norm by essentially providing all that losing them cost with intangibles, leadership like Kyle but taking over the hole SG that Norm would leave. His personality and overall bball IQ I just think would be exactly the kinda stuff our management team values and the great thing about him is I think he has better potential as a scorer and closer than either player was.

To be honest, he strikes me as something like a Brandon Roy type for this generation of players. While personally I'd favor the other 4 players typically slotted ahead of him, he'd be ridiculously good "consolation prize" for just a weird year.

It is about, "Is this a thing that is realistically being considered by management?"

That is ALL this is about. I am not talking about what should happen, I am telling you Masai and Bobby are not considering this directive.

When did I say they are considering it? lol way to pick a battle.

You didn't, you brought up something that will never realistically happen and I pointed that out.

top 5 might be hard but we gotta try to get top 7

The more I look into this draft I think it's very top heavy, not that deep.

Not really impressed w anyone else tbh I like Cooper but we are stacked at PG

Well that performance by Ayo definitely didn’t help his stock lol. Horrible performance.

Still probably goes in the teens tho.

These losses against bad teams will start to add up.

I'm now at a point where I don't feel we'll make it back to 500, regardless of any trades. I have us pegged for 16 wins here on out, and I feel like I'm being pretty realistic. That brings us to 33-39.

This team is toast. We have the 8th pick right now and can move up with the right moves. Lets not pull a BC/Casey and win meaningless games.

Bounce back win against Houston, with three L's on the horizon afterwards.

18-28 coming right up.

God the Cavs suck. Thank goodness they built up a massive lead.

I remember when Team Mediocre kept bringing up our Net rating, like that mattered. Lol

This is a big clutch loss (or a win in terms of getting the top 5 pick). Hope this team can repeat the same performance against Houston. I was nervous for this game. Good thing the Cavs built an early lead.

Just when I thought tWo was dead and gone here we are. tWo is alive and well with the most power it's had in a long time. Cobra Kawai died for nothing.

Beating the Nets without KD and the Bucks without Jrue Holiday fooled a lot of folks on this board.

Hopefully we *might* pull the rug on the season now and aren’t embarrassed by either of those teams in the playoffs in the first round

Yeah I'm officially on board.

Masai has been sitting on his ass ever since the Kawhi trade. The raptors have lost significantly good players while replacing them with useless players.

The raptors haven't added a significant talent in 2 years. Time for Masai and Bobby both to get off their ass

Just two losses back of Washington for the 5th overall position in terms of the draft. This team needs to keep this momentum going. Hoping they can have a similar result tomorrow, and then they can package both Lowry and Powell for some picks before the deadline. Our goal should be to solidify that 5th overall position. Unfortunately, I think Minnesota, Houston, Detroit and Orlando will be hard to catch for the top 4 slots.

Honestly the trade deadline cant come soon enough, because Im finally ready to see Masai in action.

He wanted to tear this team apart and start new when he first got hired. He never got the chance because the Raptors ended up going on a run as soon as he came on board.

But its now or never

Return to Toronto Raptors
