i'm excited about Barnes, and he's very promising
He's among Magic Johnson, Ocsar Robertson and (gulp, Ben simmons) to average 1000 points, 500 rebounds and 250 assists in a rookie season.
But today's league is about shooting
Even Lamelo Ball has shown he can shoot 3s at high volume.
I guess i'm on the fence about selling high, and getting someone else who fits the game well like Ant or Cade

You risk either creating a lot of tension if the top guys this year are bumped down the totem pole due to Scottie, Trent, or Precious getting way better, or you risk having the exact same setup with Scottie being a 5th option despite becoming a better player.
We're in a good situation where Pascal, Fred, OG, and even GTJ are all good trade chips right now. See what you can get for each or a combination of the available 4, and evaluate. You could go the disgruntled star consolidation route, or you could go the elite young prospect route and give the 1st option reigns to one of Fred or Pascal and let them steer the ship for a couple years with some scrappy playoff experience for the lads while Scottie and whoever evolve.
there isn't a clear consolidation trade available that make sense for both sides
and teams like OKC has better assets for a consolidation trade
What's interesting is....would you guys theoretically trade Barnes for Edwards Anthony?
I would not in a million years. Edwards is an incredible talent, and he's one of the most explosive athletes I've ever seen. But Barnes is our guy. We drafted him, helped him grow this year, and he's already bonded with the city pretty significantly. I'm not sure who is the better prospect, but I wouldn't trade Barnes for anyone that is in the realm of being realistic.
