Waiters came into the league in 2012. If he came into the league now, he'd put up some 40 point games now too.
Waiters was always inefficient.
Cam's shooting 46% and 40% from 3. That's not bad. And every game he has scored 15+...it's been at 50% or greater shooting...the numbers tell all.
Sorry man...don't see the comparison.
Players are way more efficient now than they were when Dion entered the league. Cam's TS% is 56% which is probably league average for his position. He's not a good basketball player. In fact, you can argue he's a horrible basketball player if you look at all the popular impact metrics as voted on by NBA teams.
Do I care if he's a throw in? No, I don't. That's fine. But some of you are putting him in as a main piece for guys like OG and Fred.
The fact that no one was even talking about Cam Thomas last week tells you everything you need to know about how much you guys are overreacting to a couple high scoring games.
He's been on my radar since last season. He had a stretch as a rookie when he averaged 20+ points a game over an 8 game stretch. These back-to-back 40+ point games aren't a fluke if you'd been following him. Like I said before...I like his confidence. He can shoot it much better than Waiters ever could.
Throw-in or whatever...I'd enjoy watching him on this team. He's not a tall guard but I'm done discriminating about length and size. You lose out on some very good players when you are too concerned about measurements.
