Oh were those overtime games? Yeah I thought not. Just as Coldblue has said...like it or not, Al is our best bet on offense. There are definetely things that he can improve on, but the team could also improve on some things to help him out...like being able to hit open jumpers.

Well if you only care about offense, then sure. But I think that being 7.5 points worse on offense is worth the 16 point improvement on defense. And that's been the thing about the non-Al Jefferson lineups all season: Small drop-off on offense more than offset by significant improvement on defense.

It always functions better without Jefferson. I really look forward to games when he's out (though, again, I wish it were under different circumstances this time). Player movement improves by a factor of five without Al.

Al is a damn good player, I don't think that can be argued - but it's time to make room for the young guys and that means using the rest of the season to decide if Al or Paul (or neither) stays.

Al is a horrible player and it's disguised by his high scoring. He doesn't draw fouls and he's shooting below 50% for the season. He also plays no defense and our ball movement is far worse with him.

I still give the ball to Al in the post if I need a bucket... but that margin is getting slimmer by the day.
