My sentiments exactly. This doesn't confirm us as a league power or anything of that sort, but its definitely a step forward in terms of our road struggles. As spottie points out, we've lost to the worst teams in the league when we've played on the road. And our few wins are against the lowest of the low. Whatever you want to say about the Lakers, they are a winning home team, and we were 3-9 coming in. That's a great sign that we might be improving from 'terrible' to 'very poor' as a road team.

That's plenty of stock, and I'll take it any time. This was a great win. Probably the best one of the season. Especially considering that we did it despite the fact that they were on fire from 3.

Lakers are in trouble.. future in real trouble.

And I'm loving it 8-) great game to watch. Kanter played great and it was nice to see the team ball instead of the focus on Jefferson.

They traded unprotected picks(2013 and 2015) to the Suns for Steve Nash last summer. Dwight really might leave this offseason. They are in major trouble

With the current CBA, does it benefit Howard resigning or signing an extension with the Lakers? Either way, LA can attract free agents, so they wont be in trouble for long.

Lakers are going to have to make a decision on Gasol by the trading deadline. His contract will cost them a lot of money next year via the luxury tax. Gasol to Minn by deadline I predict for WIlliams, Pekovic and AK-47 is my prediction. It will be easier to trade away AK-47's contract and Pekovic contract to a team with cap space in the summer than one big contract like Gasol.

Lakers really blew it this summer by getting Nash. They simply should have traded for Howard then traded Kobe to Nets in a sign and trade for Dwill.

Jazz future is bright but tough decisions by trade deadline. Trade away expiring contracts in Big Al and/or Millsap for Gasol or similar type talented player with a long term contract? or simply let it play out and let one leave in the summer?
Play with the Pass, Play with a Purpose, and Play with Pace along with Obvious Unselfishness....Coach Snyder says the sky is purple than Jazz players say nice purple sky! LONG LIVE THE MAD SCIENTIST!!!!

I never understood Jazz fans who want to trade for Gasol. The reason I want AL and Sap gone is because I'm ready to build around a Favors/Kanter frontcourt (Think they can develop into a better version of Gasol/Z-bo). So I don't really understand why people would want another starting big, to take significant minutes away from Favors.

Well, I think we should be proud of this win.

Why?
They have the best C and SG in the game right now, they shot pretty well (when a team sink 15 3's on more than 50% you usually lose)
We didn't need the hack a Howard (they shot 83% from FT)
Players who usually plays like crap in Lakers played decently (Hill, Duhon, Meeks)

Then, we played pretty well sharing the ball, every guy tried to defend pretty hard, Kanter showed how he eated Hill alive and we have the best balanced offense of the year.

So, I think we should be proud.

The Lakers are a lottery team right now. I'll take the W though, but I never thought this lakers team could underperform this badly.

does anybody have a link to the game highlights apart of what is available on nba.com and espn?

a link to a place where it is possible to watch the entire game will of course be even better.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I enjoyed the game. Everyone contributed. We have a deep bench. We have some young players to develop. LA is not very good right now so I wouldn't start rating us among the elite. We have potential. Gasol has knee problems and gets a lot of money. I would stay away from a trade for him.

Since I live in LA, I was able to watch the feed with the Lakers commentators. They bemoaned the Lakers defense and had high praise for the Jazz. They mentioned repeatedly that the Lakers had no answer for Kanter.

I thought that Al, Mo, Sap and Marvin were solid, but that Kanter and Carrol were the keys to winning the game. I was surprised to see the +/- for Hayward as I thought he was a weak link (along with Foye) last night.

Hard to say if the Jazz were really good, or the Lakers made them look good, but I like the way the Jazz played.

Lakers announcers are best home-team announcers in the league. I'd even take them over some of the national crews.

Anyone else notice how every starter was negative in +/- for this game and every reserve was positive? Kind of strange, no? It didn't feel like that watching the game.

This is the first Jazz game I have watched this season and I am very much impressed with the ball movement and solid offensive choices of all players (except Big Al struggling a little in the last 2-3 minutes of the game and Kanter getting schooled by Howard in the first half).
I hope Mo Williams continues to play like that. Never seen him so confident and productive.
Big Al and Millsap looked great. Also hope this isn't due to the horrible defensive shape the Lakers are in.
I think very highly of Kanter and was a little dissapointed up until now (including his rookie season). He also looked strong and confident.
Despite the victory, great ball movement, and great offense, it is obvious that the team is very poor defensively and I very much hope Favors is the cure for that.
