Overall I think we are coming back with a similar team. Just looking at the team and our options thier really isn't a lot we can do to improve the team. We can make moves but most just give us different looks and not necessarily improve the team.
players contract ends: Conley, Niang, Ilyasova, Morgan, Brantley, Forrest
players gone: Ilyasova, Thomas (not guaranteed)
players expected to resign: Conley, Niang, Forrest, Brantley, Morgan
needs: back up pg, better small ball center option, perimeter defenders who can still shoot
I feel unless you can swing for the fences and get a shot on a perfect fit guy like Ingram you are holding steady. I'm expecting Conley to come back for around the 15Mil per year range. I feel that last time he switched teams he struggled and does not want to go through that again. He likes the team and the city I believe he stays. But we still need a PG that can learn from him and become that future PG. I don't know if the team feels Forrest could be that guy, he showed some good signs this year.
I think Morgan and Azubuike could be groomed to be our small ball guys but they need more court time during the regular season. And AZ needs to not get injured.
Favors, Ingles, Bogie are your trade pieces aka expendable. Royce could be on that list as well but I don't see them moving him unless we are getting a better defensive ayer back by packaging him with one of the other 3.
