Portland is very good, but we knew that going in. That being said, they couldn't sleep on us, went with their main lineup for pretty much the entire game. The Jazz played more players but not to the point of getting taken out of the game. Exum looked good for the most part, possibly as good or better than Hill (missed most of the first quarter due to the Bucks/Bulls on NBA TV). Was not overly impressed with either Neto or Mack - Paige looked better in short minutes IMO. Ingles was possibly the best player on the floor for the Jazz in my view - excellent D and great decision making. Everybody else was OK save for Joe Johnson who looked a bit out of sorts. Bolomboy was terrific down the stretch and the main catalyst for our comeback with his hustle plays in my view - got to make room for him on the main roster. In the end, we missed too many free throws and were too predictable on offense. Anyway, that's my view.
"But if you want to win, you have to teach a player how to win. That's why I don't believe in tanking, all that stuff. You don't learn how to win by losing on purpose to get a 19-year-old who you've never seen." -Rudy Gobert, 2017/18 Season
