I going to send Pill a combination of Nader, grant and shai jerseys and he’ll be on team rebuild in no time.

WTF did we have to look forward to with this core of players and with our cap situation?
Basically more of the same. 45-48 win seasons, 6th - 8th seed, and 1st round exit. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
F' that ****.
I'm glad they're pulling the plug on this experiment. This franchise has been stuck in mud for 3+ years and there was no significant signs of improvement. Unless you're one of those homers who was banking on Andre Roberson's return somehow catapulting this franchise into a contender.
did you read any of this thread before posting.
I read about 2 pages starting at around 5 AM. Page 90-something of the thread.
oh, well i didn't find out until later and the response appeared to be well measured.

I like Culver but would be happy with any of those. Preferene for Culver or Hero because it's time for OKC to have SG. Presti will be able to draft some athletic PF that can't shoot.

I think he did two weeks ago.

I could sort of see it. Real big kid. In an earlier era he might have been a SG or even a SF. Pretty shifty with the dribble though and appears able to get to the rim. Nice bounce. Looks like he's got tons of potential on defense given that wingspan.
To be honest, when I watched him play against the Warriors, I wasn't as impressed as Clippers fans, who see a very high ceiling for him, like a perennial all star.
But they've certainly watched more of him than I have and he is very young.
I didn't see explosiveness or shiftiness against the Warriors. Most of the time he tried to force his way into the lane or to the rim, pushing off with his off arm rather than using dribble moves to separate from the defender.
He could push off against smaller guys but not when wings like Klay were on him. He could be crafty against slower big men but a lot of times, he didn't shoot, passed it when his initial move, the push off, was stymied. But it's good that he didn't force shots, which kept up his shooting percentage.
Honestly, I thought of a more slender, younger Jarret Jack.
I think he'll be a good player but don't see being an all star multiple times. But he is very young so he could develop more, grow more.
I agree with some of your sentiments but the main reason many people are high on him is that he is 20 years old, has improved rapidly as player the past few years and has maturity and poise beyond his years. He will no doubt develop and refine his game as the years go on. I disagree very much with Jarret Jack comparison, he is not a chucker and looks to make the right play more often than not.
He should become stronger as the years go on, improve his 3 point shot, tighten handle etc he is already good on the defensive end. He doesn't have one elite skill but he will be a very good all round player which will suit the direction the NBA is heading.

Re: Thunder Offseason Thread
One thing we haven’t really discussed is that Presti reportedly didn’t want a toxic situation like happened with New Orleans once George requested a trade. Down to dunk podcast said Russ quit following pg on Instagram. This could have been a disaster next year if Presti didn’t act quick.

This is what I'm most excited about. Once they finally move Westbrook I think we'll finally see an offense built on player and ball movement.

Knicks can give us more, twolves can gives jculver, okogie, kbd, wiggins, j teague , covington, I dont think suns do the trade , lakers dont have anything beside kuzma , hornets, monk, miles bridge, batum, maybe reunite klove westbrook in cavs and orlando are the teams that can be interest in Westbrook

This would first require a coaching staff that has an idea what offense means, something they haven't had for a decade

I think 75% of the problem is the type of players that we've had. Harden, KD, and Westbrook are ISO heavy players at their core.
Warriors fans have been complaining since damn near day 1 about KD screwing up the flow of the Warriors motion offense.
I've also pointed out a few times in the past that Westbrook is extremely lazy when he doesn't have the ball in his hands. Most of the time he just stands and watches when others have the ball. The only time he really hustles is when the ball is in his hands. When he has the ball on offense he's going 100 MPH. When he doesn't have the ball he coasts at 25 MPH.
But I will say this about the coaches. I blame them because they're the ones letting him and previous OKC players get away with that lazy brand of basketball. Rather than hold the players to any sort of standard, Donovan and Brooks pretty much allowed the stars to run the offense as they saw fit with impunity. Too scared to take a stand I guess.

Is Gordon, Fournier, Augustin for Westbrook, Grant, and Patterson (give or take) feasible? I've been thinking about it after Slick posted and I kind of like the idea of Gordon.

I don’t get it. There is no rush to trade the first rookie to ever play for the Thunder. This guy is a first ballot hall of famer. Treat him with some respect.

I'd rather guys who are stuck on rookie deals who we can manage and keep for years. Gordon would bounce straight after his deal and doesn't do much for this team in the long term.

I respectfully want to trade him. Emotional attachment is stupid. It’s not like he doesn’t still get $40million plus a year if he’s traded. Russ is going to be fine. He didn’t rescue my family from a burning building. He’s a declining basketball player that behaves in an embarrassing way. He doesn’t need to be coddled. I wish him the best but it’s time for both parties to move on.

Youtube highlights are frequently misleading so I'll defer to you on his relative ability to get to the rim with the dribble.
