No we dont have a comish
I just arrive home and i will make my pick in a few min

theres nothing to rule here
INSFO was LATE
ALCIG made his pick
the next pick was INSFO so he doesnt get a extra 8h and woody is on the clock
PERIOD
i m on the clock now and i can pick whenever i can

I disagree. Insfo did not have two back to back picks so he gets skipped for the first one but should get more time for the next, once he is up again. If there were four people between Alcig and insfo and all picked during his late period that would be fine but I would think he gets a new clock with his new pick.

Just my two cents and probably mute now.

dude what is that logic?

A gm who misses their 8 hour window, doesn't get a new deadline if he has back2back picks.
A gm who misses their 8 hour window, gets a new deadline if there's only 1 other gm between his picks.
A gm who misses their 8 hour window, doesn't get a new deadline if there are 4 other gms before their next pick.

You miss under stood. I meant if there are 5 managers inbetween they all could pick but once he is up again then he get a new clock. I guess you interpretation of the rule is once a gm is late he forfeits his remaining new clocks until he makes a picks.

Down to last three picks!

once the draft is done, I can post here my Middleton drop and add another player, correct? I believe that's how we always implemented the add/drop rules until the rosters are on Yahoo.

I don't hitnk it worked like that in the past:

oh it did work like that in the past. that's why tkunit wanted to make that move. However In that specific example, Zoran Dragic wasn't on Yahoo and by the rules, a new player enters as a Waiver not Free Agent. So in that case waiver priority overrules.

You are right. I finally found the discussion I was trying to find the first time: viewtopic.php?p=33236412#p33236412

Woody didn't like the system, apparently, but bww at the time told me that's how it was and in fact I was allowed to pick up Koufos.

I may do some writeups on my vacation if I have time. But for now here is some data via yahoo projections. These are estimated roto standings of the teams in two different ways. The first is pretending all players on your team count every day (imagine bench spots are active roster spots). The second just looks at the "starters". Not sure how the starters are decided, but draft order probably plays a part. The page this stuff is from is not exposed to users because it was never really finished. But nonetheless:

projections pretending the bench is always counted as well:

projections just using "starters":

I don't expect these to be accurate, but I think they do at least give a sense of what each team's strengths and weaknesses are.

Also, these don't include picks 279 and 280, so bww and sly will likely slide up a little.

I like Hopper's team. Hopper vs CL will be a brutal dogfight matchup.

My fake league I was sticking the data in is here:
http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/1473895486/draftresults?drafttab=team

Interesting that two of the top rated teams (sly, hopper) were teams drafting on the turn.

Curtis, since sly is late, can I make my add-drop involving Middleton? Also do we have an IR spot in this league? If not, next year I believe we should do that.

not having an IR spot is very stupid. I'm not saying that because of my suffering. There's no way that I'm not dropping Middleton and If he returns mid-March, a playoff team can snatch him up and get an unfair advantage against the whole playoff bracket.

3 seasons ago someone dropped Irving and my opponent in the playoffs finals grabbed Irving to win the championship. Without Irving I had around 60 points and 18 assists on him. and he won just because of Irving. That is one of the most frustrating things ever.

Don't we have a waiver priority for adding players right after the draft?
