You are too kind. Remember, Milwaukee also gave up on Christian Wood. :dontknow:

I noticed Patton his freshman year at Creighton. He had stats that popped even back then.

Yep, it seemed like injuries derailed his career and he's never gotten much of a look. There's no reason not to get him into the org and see what he can do. Pasecniks is certainly expendable.

I'm still pissed about Christian Wood. This board had been asking for him for years. Now he looks on the verge of becoming a star.

Kim Berch and Robert Covington were both there for pickings. This board saw it. It’s no coincidence those guys and Danuel House are in the rotation on better teams.

But the Wizards got character guys now.

(I’m just salty. They did GREAT drafting Deni. I was totally wrong to dislike the pick. He’s better than Jalen Smith.)

Khem Birch even played Summer League for us. I liked him then. So did Danuel House, whom I did not like -- wrongly.

No, Nat. We don't want Kelly Oubre, Jr. He's a terrible player.

Pass. GSW probably wouldnt do it this early anyway, but Oubre is just terrible. We've moved out of that culture of guys and we would just take shots away from Deni, Brown, and Rui.
Also... that would put us into the tax while reducing our roster size. Just poor fit all around there.

Sato has been underwhelming and is guaranteed 5M next year, so maybe the Bulls would like to get out of that and take a Ish/Robinson swap for him straight up.

Or the Magic by trading Lopez, Ish, Robinson for Aminu and Bamba. Aminu was TERRIBLE last year and had a set back in his rehab. Using Bamba (Who is collecting DNPs) to get out his 9.7M salary and Bamba's 7.5M might be appetizing.

Yeah sure! Satoransky wants no part of Scott Brooks again, but Sato for Robinson, Wagner, and Ish works!

Check please

Kings swap: Holmes, Haliburton, Bagley, 2021 1st for Beal.

Am I asking for too little value here? Too much?

538 projection would put the Kings pick around 10th:
10th overall pick 2021, Holmes, Haliburton, Bagley.

Wiz don't get enough value imo, but at the same time it's an acknowledgement of the risk the Kings take in potentially having Beal walk on them. I considered asking for Hield, but preferred the cap space. There's a good chance Bagley is worthless. A *lot* rests on Haliburton turning out to be something long term.

I dunno.

I don't think Sac makes the deal because they are a year or 2 from being in win now mode. I don't think they give up youth for a guy like Beal just yet.

From the Washington side, the deal seems light on value at first glance, but if they are high on Haliburton (like many on this board seem to be) then it's solid.

Sacramento wouldn't do it.

Beal is somewhat redundant with Fox and Hield. If they go all in, they're going to want a big. Also, I don't think a non-contender like Sacramento makes a deal for Beal because they'd have the same concerns that we have about him leaving in free agency.

I'd do it.

Ish and Robinson are merely filler - mediocre players on expiring deals. Wagner is the only value in this deal, and he's not THAT much value. I'd happily take a shot on an Oubre reclamation project.

Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work out and we let Oubre walk in the summer. We were going to let Ish and Robinson walk anyway, so the only loss is Wagner. And I'm sure we can replace Wagner in free agency with a guy like Khem Birch for the same price.

I guess the one drawback is that we are already overloaded at forward. Playing Oubre means that one of Bonga or Brown gets kicked out of the rotation. It might make more sense if we had another deal lined up where we traded Brown for a half-decent defensive center with upside.

In a heartbeat, even with his 7-40 FGs Dude set an NBA record with 20 consecutive missed non-dunks.

That said I recall A WHOLE SEASON where John Wall was 3-41 3PT shots. IIRC that was 14%.

John Wall seriously improved his shooting. (I’m thinking about Dwayne Haskins. Similar futility, same as Kwame Brown. Mindset is a powerful beast. Nick Anderson free throws...Markelle Fultz rookie season was a disaster.

Oubre is a known commodity, and if he’s not injured it would be good to rescue us from Brooks’ bad rotations.

Sorry for the rant, but all I was saying is sometimes bad performance is just mental or muscle memory and confidence related.

What about Otto Porter? Without checking salaries how about Bertans, Wagner, and Ish for OPJ?

In response to below, with Oubre, as for minutes among forwards I don’t think it’s a problem. If Brooks were sharp he’d play Brown at either G position. Likewise, Bonga can play three positions because he defends .

Positionless basketball is what wins games. Big guys with guard skills—you can’t have too many of them.

I remember ranting about Bobby Portis should have been the pick as opposed to Oubre plus a round two.

He’s looking pretty good surrounded by really good player in Milwaukee. Just like Markieff the guy is a good situational player.

Kelly Oubre...pif, he and Otto and mobile Gortat were very decent when Wittman played them together.

Portis is still trash, don't let the box scores fool you.

Still doesn't do anything that contributes to winning basketball, much like the lesser of the Morris twins.

Given the choice between the three I'd go with Oubre since he's the only one out of the bunch you can expect to defend.
