Maybe we should hire him as head coach?
You are too kind. Remember, Milwaukee also gave up on Christian Wood.

But the Wizards got character guys now.
(I’m just salty. They did GREAT drafting Deni. I was totally wrong to dislike the pick. He’s better than Jalen Smith.)

Am I asking for too little value here? Too much?
538 projection would put the Kings pick around 10th:
10th overall pick 2021, Holmes, Haliburton, Bagley.
Wiz don't get enough value imo, but at the same time it's an acknowledgement of the risk the Kings take in potentially having Beal walk on them. I considered asking for Hield, but preferred the cap space. There's a good chance Bagley is worthless. A *lot* rests on Haliburton turning out to be something long term.
I dunno.

I'd do it.
Ish and Robinson are merely filler - mediocre players on expiring deals. Wagner is the only value in this deal, and he's not THAT much value. I'd happily take a shot on an Oubre reclamation project.
Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work out and we let Oubre walk in the summer. We were going to let Ish and Robinson walk anyway, so the only loss is Wagner. And I'm sure we can replace Wagner in free agency with a guy like Khem Birch for the same price.
I guess the one drawback is that we are already overloaded at forward. Playing Oubre means that one of Bonga or Brown gets kicked out of the rotation. It might make more sense if we had another deal lined up where we traded Brown for a half-decent defensive center with upside.

I remember ranting about Bobby Portis should have been the pick as opposed to Oubre plus a round two draft pick.
He’s looking pretty good surrounded by really good player in Milwaukee. Just like Markieff the guy is a good situational player.
Kelly Oubre...pif, he and Otto and mobile Gortat were very decent when Wittman played them together.
