You mean he questionably put both hands in Oden's back and shoved him into two people.

Gortat is a major weak link in our team's identity. I really don't like his game

Eh...loved the first 20 minutes, but the lead is anything but safe. Heat can recover 21 points in 6-7 minutes if they get hot. Their defense has picked up too

Not just tonight. He's been disappointing since getting here IMO.

Why are you disappointed? He's been exactly as advertised -- a solid offensive C who's effective in the pick and roll. He didn't have a reputation as an Asik-type bruiser; no reason to expect that out of him here.

We have more at half than we did the entire game in Indiana on Friday. Crazy.

Hopefully we don't have our usual 3rd quarter

This 2nd half is going to be a fantastic test for our boys. I want to see Wall and Beal show this heat that they're for real and not underestimate them anymore!!! Common Wiz!
They are about to be challenged the best in the league and they are angry!

We need Nene to play at least 15 minutes and for him to stay out of foul trouble. Don't have a good feeling about 2nd half if Oden plays 10 minutes and Wade and LeBron start feeling it. Beal can't shrink when things go bad.

You can't be disappointed in a veteran player for lacking an aspect to his game that he's always lacked. He is who he is.

Feel free to be disappointed in EG for trading for him. But if Gortat were a better defensive player (while maintaining his existing offensive skill set), he wouldn't have been available.

We HAVE to continue to get to the FT line in the 3rd quarter

Let's get in the bonus as quickly as possible and slow the game down. If we revert to our usual long two chucking the Heat will run themselves back into the game

Oden: 6 points, 2 rebounds in 5 minutes of play. No blocks, but solid defense and I'm sure he contributed to a few rebounds snagged by his teammates.

Not bad, considering where he's come from. Of course, either leg could fall off in the 3Q, but for now, he's putting in legit work.

The 3rd quarter will tell a lot about this Wizards team. Hopefully we can continue to blow out the Heat and build on this lead.

 Comon Keynote.. His reputation as a defender prior to the trade was "average". It's my personal opinion he has not lived up to that. Are you really arguing with me about MY personal opinion?

Okay, so when will Witt have to take his first panicked timeout of the 3Q to slow down the Heat's runaway momentum and chastise our starters for their lack of focus? The 9-minute mark? the 8-minute?

:) Fair enough. I guess I had him pegged as a Kaman-type: above average offensively, below average defensively. The exact opposite of Okafor. But yeah, MMV.

Wow. Oden starting the second half over Battier. Major adjustment from Spo.

Terrible, lazy shot from Beal.

Way to start the 3Q! Other than Beal's quick shot, I liked every offensive possession (yes, even the one where Gortat missed the bunny due to Oden looming near).
