I'm pretty excited. This is one of the only times this season I've seen the Wizards buckle down, play defense, and flat out execute in the clutch. Wall didn't settle for anything down the stretch.

Who was that coach on Detroit that called out Josh Smith? Players league...

One can only hope the Wizards were cruising against a team coming of a back to back, not like the Wizards are good enough to underestimate any team...

All for naught if they lose against Cleveland tomorrow.

Wizards were definitely cruising against a bad team. I can understand that happening every now and then, but the Wizards have been doing it all season. That is why I can't get excited about this team or tonight's win. They just seem content to be mediocre.

Huh? The Wizards buckled down the last minute. The rest of the game they were coasting.

Oh he does plenty wrong in Wittman's eyes...

Problem is Wittman only digs in to players that have zero snap back in them.

Next major acquisition is a coach that'll check Wall and Beal.

The best Wizard's last play of the season, and spectacular too.

Once Wall entered back in the 4th with 6 and half left they were pretty sound.

Monumental just posted this instagram video of the game winning dunk. The quality sucks, but it still gave me chills. I wish I could have been there tonight.

I thought Andre Miller played pretty well tonight. He's super slow but makes smart decisions.

Waiters is out for tomorrow, thankfully. Also, Beal bested Waiters the first time they played. So they're 1-1 I guess

The problem with benching Beal is that there isn't a solid 2-guard option. Webster is a three with no handles and a sub-par defender against quicker 2's. Ariza has been playing a ton of minutes and maybe you can move John there with Andre Miller at the 1 or vice versa, but that's not a very good defensive backcourt. If we had a guy like Morrow (or my guy Gary Neal), I'd say get Beal out of there when he's cold. I do wish Temple shot the ball better, but he can at least defend. Then there's GR Jr who I think is on a milk carton somewhere and I guess won't play until next season.

What I saw was a team that was more methodical.

Wall played a very different game today. Like daddy PG was watching. Wall didn't play hero ball. I didn't see the long 2s. He ran the offense like Miller does.

9 shots, 12 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block. He took care of his duties as a PG and let the team score. Tonight they feed the post a lot to Nene and Gortat. Nene had 19 shots.

It looks like a slowed down half court playoff style. The part that hasn't gotten work out is how to generate open looks from 3 and for Beal and TA in this style offense. TA hardly shot at all and only took one 3 ball.

Not sure what to make of it just yet. Its definitely felt different. Slower. But without Ves and Temple, the rotations did seem more predictable. I was less stressed about the offense when Miller came in. But since Beal can't generate his own shot and he isn't that great at driving, he looked kind of lost out there. And TA had no idea how to get an open look. But both focused on playing D so they had some impact.

Looks like they are missing a SF that can dribble to me. PP would fit nicely on a unit like this. Not so sure if TA will. We will see. Might have missed on a chance to sell high if he isn't going to look as good in this style. But he did have 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Just one game. Its a data point. Need to see more.

I think Glen would have look good in that style. He seems to be pretty good at driving. Or maybe someone needs to get added still.
