At least Russ made this team watchable and was a leader on the floor who brought it every night. He helped Gafford tremendously.

Russ back after a buyout playing on the minimum isn't the worst thing in the world till we can find a PG of the future.
It'd be #SOWIZARDS but entertaining with the fukkery it would entail until April-May.

It reeks of desperation. Basically, it's a last-ditch effort to appease Beal. Maybe Beal is happy for 2 months and we squeak into the play-in. We then get swept in the first round but Beal magnanimously signs a supermax in the offseason. We suck again next year and Beal agitates to be traded, but by then, his value is more like Westbrook's or Wiggins' because of the size of his contract.
Much better to just trade Beal now.
But, heck, I'm for anything that doesn't result in us trading away Avdija, future firsts, or removing the protections on our pick.

Of course its desperation. The Dinwiddie signing was a bust, there's no starting PG on the roster.![]()
Ted Leonsis is not trading Beal, no matter how much we want it or how prudent it will be.
Our future is Beal on the 10-year max... and.... and.... and.... cause this franchise can't find cornerstones in the draft beyond the top 3.

Well put.
Unfortunately, the most likely trade will be for Jerami Grant. & the most likely cost will involve Avdija -- maybe Bryant too.
Just waiting for the other foot to fall....

Of course I'll do the happy dance if he trades for Jalen Smith...closg00 wrote:The Phoenix Suns have taken calls from the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards, San Antonio Spurs, and Toronto Raptors for young backup Jalen Smith.
