Count me in. If Queen is still there at #6, you pick him.
The bad part is I won't be surprised if Queen is gone by #6.

Philly clearly needs front court help, they could take either Maluach or Queen

On the other hand let the Maluach vs Queen debate rage :)

Clearly tanking isnt the way to rebuild. Its to send your best players to the Lakers in hope of a back room deal

All 3 markets smaller than DC. Getting high end talent in the NBA is really hard. Dallas went decades without a truly great player until Nash and Dirk. The process Sixers’ fanbase was so disheartened the NBA stepped in (with demonstrably worse management). We’ll have our time, maybe starting next year.
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Why? They haven't hit any home runs on any of their picks so far. #2, #7, #14, #24, #42 and no franchise players (and they traded a potential francise player for one of those picks). More than likely they won't get one in this years draft.

So yea, I don't see why they deserve to be trusted.

Idk, I feel like they couldn't play with Embiid. More likely they take Bailey.

Alright, enough whining about the lotto. I’m now looking at the combine measurements to see who surprises.

Sorber looks great.
Tre Johnson was disappointing.
Edgecomb measured pretty well.

So you think you and by extension this organization can find a needle in a haystack do you. Good luck.

I said this a few days ago and I mean it - I am not despairing. The chance that the top 1 or 2 picks in this draft will lead any team to a championship is small. How many overall number 1 picks in the last 20 drafts were the best or second best players on a championship team? At most, 3, but more like 2 (Kyrie, Anthony Davis, maaaybe Wiggins, who was 2nd in PPG in the 2022 finals for GS). Number 2 picks are even worse - Durant is the whole list. Oh, and Kyrie was the only one who did it with the team that drafted him.

All things being equal, I'd rather win the lottery. But there is always talent. The best scouts and number crunchers in the world get it wrong every single year and miss allstars and all-NBA players. I'm not saying our scouts and number crunchers are better than everyone else's. I'm just saying they are all guessing to a degree, other than the true generational talents that come around every 10 years.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the best player to come out of this draft is taken after we pick. Or is Queen or Maluach or Frears or Bailey or who knows.

We are doing the right thing. Get as many good picks as you can. Draft as well as you can. Develop as well as you can. Don't take shortcuts.

There’s a long list of stars picked outside of the top 5: Kawhi, SGA, Curry, Jokic, Giannis, Butler, Halliburton, Brunson, Booker, Siakam, etc.

Our situation just got worse, but it’s not hopeless.

Right now, I dont see a difference between pick 6 and pick 12. Because of that, I would entertain a trade down for multiple picks or player.

To a degree. But right now, OKC is the favorite to win the championship, Indiana is beating up on Cleveland (though they are still contenders), and Minnesota is looking pretty good.
