I don't see how he lasts past #20.

He plays below the rim Nate. Kinda stiff and a little soft. On the flip side, he's skilled. He'd be an option at #18.

...and why-not, we took Serphin at 17 and he's years away from being a solid rotation player. At-least Nikola could play some back-up C for us.

I'd certainly give him a look at 18, depending on what's done with 6.

Leonard and Vucevic would be a nice combo.

Even with that, his turnovers per possession are less than Knight or Irving and comparable to Walker. He can even shoot the 3 a bit.

Sight unseen and like you said, he's got to be in the conversation for 18 even if a bit stiff and soft. A solid backup center who can play regularly in his first or second year is solid for the 18th pick.

Maybe he's a poor man's Okur with less range? Honestly, I'd be totally in on a 1/3rd chance of a bust, 1/3rd chance at a backup center and 1/3rd chance at a rotation center. I'm not saying those are the odds, but that's a good risk if you ask me.

Yeah, that low t/o rate stuck out to me, as well. You almost can't go wrong at 18 with an efficient roll playing solidly built 7 footer who rebounds well, can spread the D, and is long enough to bother people.

If we manage to get Kanter at #6, Seraphin becomes somewhat of an afterthought.

It would be nice to package Seraphin and the #18 for a pick high enough to get Leonard. I'd love to enter next season with the following lineup:

PG Wall/Crawford
SG Young/Leonard
SF Lewis/Leonard
PF Kanter/Booker
C McGee/Blatche

Sweet bouncing balls of fire, Nate, that lineup might actually be GOOD.

Way to set the bar of my expectations unrealistically high. I cannot be anything but disappointed now.

Yup. They'd take their lumps due to inexperience, but that's a pretty good team over the long haul. I like the Kanter/McGee pairing as starters. And I like the Booker/Blatche pairing as reserves. (Somebody would need to put a gun to Blatche's head and make him hit the weights.) Leonard gives us a second versatile wing defender and helps on the boards (and hopefully learns to hit threes).

Scout just told me USC's Nikola Vucevic impressed him more than Enes Kanter at this morning's workout. Didn't expect that.

That's nice that people have their perspectives but Kanter is a better prospect.

My gut tells me the Wizards are moving up to select Kanter.

2 things: He publicly declared he wants Washington and he fits well with Wall and McGee.

Personally I think Kanter is a real good kid who will work hard. I definitely think he'll be a solid role player in the NBA. Beyond that I really can't tell because I haven't seen him enough.

Williams is basically Michael Beasley sized, so yeah, that's a big ole boy there.

Derrick Williams still thinks he is a 3 in this league. Of course it doesn't matter what he thinks, it matters what the coaches tell him. I'm kinda glad we didn't get the #2 pick because I just don't think Derrick Williams is going to be that good. I am not a fan of tweeners unless they are coming off the bench. If we can package #6 and #18 to move up to #3 and take Enes, I'll be happy.

Or, if we keep the picks and select Leonard at #6 and Vucevic at #18 that would be sick. Vucevic at #18 would be a steal, but I don't think he falls down to #18. There may not be many stars in this draft, but it's looking like their will be a lot of solid role players available and you need role players.

We must get Kanter some how, either move up or pray he falls to us. He refused to interview with Utah and Toronto because he really wants to be a Wizard. Get him! He's definitely the best player in the draft along with Williams.

I'm not sure why Chad Ford is so enamored with Leonards huge hands. With large hands there comes a point of deminishing returns and having abnormally large hands usually hinders just as much as it helps. The four players I can think of off the top of my head with abnormally large hands are Rando, Shaq, Tractor Trayler, & Dr. J. None of them can/could shoot worth a hill of beans.
