Step 1: Wiz trade #6 to the Bobcats for #9 & #19
Step 2: Wiz trade McGee & #9 to the Jazz for #3 and #12
Wiz end up with #3, #12, #18, & #19
Jazz get McGee & Jimmer (can't really see him going before #9)
Bobcats get Kemba
Wiz take Kanter, Singleton (#12), Jeremy Tyler (#18), Marshon Brooks (#19), and Mirotic (#34)
Of course it'd never happen, and would totally rebuild the team as the youngest, well, maybe ever. But there are a lot of guys to like in this draft, I hope we get a few of them.
I'm getting cold feet on Singleton. I thought he was on the verge of becoming a good offensive player before he got hurt during the season, and supposedly he got way out-classed by Marcus Morris in workouts. And I'm not a Tyler fan - 18 is too high for him, imo. Going with your trades, I'd go:
3 - Kanter - self-explanatory
12 - Faried - undersized, but there's something special about his energy level - in technical terms, he's got an aura about him that separates him even defensively from Singleton and Booker, and he's a better rebounder than they are. Booker might measure out as good or better as an athlete, but Faried is a more fluid athlete - able to start and stop on a dime.
18 - Harper - volume 3 point shooter at either forward position and a better athlete with more scoring versatility than given credit for. Very nice fit for the Zards.
19 - Brooks - best value.
34 - Rick Jackson - I think he's an underrated working class big with good team skills who knows his role and does it game in and game out.
