I would say that would be about fair value but I think that's like sure my buddy's selling his side by side for 13 grand and maybe that's worth it but I don't have that so it doesn't matter. Derozan is still a decent player but shouldn't be playing for us. Maybe send Middleton instead, and route Derozan to a third team? We get a worse player than Derozan but more than one second rounder out of the trade.
I think we should trade a 2nd rounder and Richaun Holmes for Paul George and #3. We should be rewarded for eating that contract, so why not.... Draft Ace, Fears, Queen and be rolling if we get first next year or not......

These proposals are much easier to evaluate if you provide and outgoing and incoming for each team.
Ultimately, the Bucks are getting robbed blind here. Why on Earth would they trade Giannis for KAT alone? Giannis is the 3rd best player in the NBA and still in his prime. KAT is okay, but at his salary he is barely even a positive asset. After all, the Knicks only traded Randle (off of a bad year) and Divencenzo to acquire him.
Valuewise, this is basically like trading Randle and Divencenzo for Giannis!
The Wizards are stealing a ton of value in this trade too. Sheppard and Smith is a lot of value just to absorb Brooks (who is a playable guy) and Landale.

They can still make trades, they just can't trade 2 players for 1 for example because they're over the second apron.
If I had to guess, its the 14th pick, Barnes, Sochan and Johnson for KD or 14th pick, Vassell, Barnes for KD.
Let's say they do the second trade, they are at $211 million in salaries. The 2nd apron is at $207.8 million.
Cody Martin's deal becomes fully guaranteed on 6/30/2025. Micic has a team option, and Richards deal becomes guaranteed on 6/29. This is why Phoenix wants to get a deal done by the draft because if they pull off the Vassell/Barnes/14th pick for KD by draft night, they can decline Micic's option which puts them under the 2nd apron. More flexibility to make trades, less financially burdensome. Or they could take it a step further and decline Martin and Micic's options and they're under the 1st apron at that point. That would give them access to the tax payer MLE.
As long as they take in like $7-8 million less than KD's salary, their cap sheet should be OK moving forward.

With respect, I don't like the trade for either team.
For the Wizards, they will rue the day the took on WCJ's contract. For Orlando, they need a medium usage/high assist/TO guy.
