Following a few days rest, representing the most powerful city in the world, YOUR Washington Wizards head back to the friendly confines of the Verizon Center for a mid-week match up with the Detroit Pistons.
YOUR Wizards take the court following an unnecessarily-too-close victory over the injury-decimated Indiana Pacers, the second win vs Indy within the space of a few days. SF Paul Pierce has had a string of a couple of sub-par games in a row and, hopefully, has benefited from the rest since the Saturday night game in Indianapolis.
Detroit heads to DC after a Monday night match-up at Chicago in the United Center. They head to the windy city after a frustrating one-point loss to the Utah Jazz at home on Sunday night - which featured C Andre Drummond's imitation of a Hoover, vacuuming up 18 rebounds in the game. This is noteworthy as the Wizards have struggled on the glass against their opponents.
The PG match-up between John Wall and Brandon Jennings looks to be a good one.
Let's meet the starting lineups:

_______PG John Wall, 6'4" (Kentucky)______________PG Brandon Jennings, 6'1" (Oak Hill Academy)
________19.0 ppg, 8.7 apg, 3.9 rpg________________________12.4 ppg, 5.9 apg, 2.7 rpg

________11.9 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.7 apg_________________________14.7 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 4.3 apg

_______PF Nene Hilario, 6'11" (Brazil)__________________PF Greg Monroe, 6'11" (Georgetown)
________12.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.0 apg_________________________17.2 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 2.6 apg

_______C Marcin Gortat, 6'11" (Poland)________________C Andre Drummond, 6'11" (UConn)
________14.0 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.1 bpg_________________________9.6 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 1.7 bpg
With a few days of rest behind them, can YOUR Washington Wizards rebound with a full 48-minute effort? The Detroit match-up could be problematic, as they sport players who can exploit Washington's early-season weakenesses (defending against quick point guards and rebounding).
And if you're a Pistons fan, you're invited to partake in the Wizards trolling and insults thread. Come in a good-natured spirit and drop your most clever, witty, and snarky bombs at the Wiz. It's a safe place, we invite it. (With fair warning that we'll give it as good as we take it.)
