His last 5 years of availability (64%) are worse than Anthony Davis (66%), whose nickname is Street Clothes. You don't build squat with a guy who spends more than 1/3 of the time riding the bench. No way he is worth that much more money than DeRozen got.
To be fair, PG just played the most games (74) since he was in OKC 5 years ago
He also had the best shooting numbers in every category: FG .471 3P .413 FT .907
And yes, he's behind AD in that 5 year span, but he's played more than Steph, KD, Beal, Kawhi, Kyrie, and Klay
The story shouldn't be about PG13 not playing -- because no one his age plays anymore.
This is more a rare feat by Derozan than an indictment of George.
Here's the proof:
There are 23 active players in their 30s who have 3+ all star selections
Only 2 of them (DeRozan and Gobert) averaged >70 games played over the past 5 seasons.
Only 2 more managed to even play 70+ games more than once (Russ + CP3)
No one else on the list played >69 games more than once in the past 5 years
Includes all these 3+ AS guys now in their 30s:
Bron
Lowry
Horford
Steph
Love
KD
DRose
Harden
Butler
Klay
Dray
PG13
Dame
Kawhi
Middleton
Kyrie
AD
Beal
Embiid
(plenty of younger guys don't play either: Greek is not 30 yet & just played 73 games -- but the first time in 5 years he broke the 70 barrier)
