Have none of you ever been hit in the throat? I would rather get hit in the balls than square in the throat like that. He is 260 pounds and was moving full speed and then had another 240 pound mans elbow collide directly with his throat. He probably could barely breathe for like 30+ seconds.
I've been hit in the throat like that and I suffered damage to my voice box from it. That doesnt take away from the point that it was a hard playoff foul, nothing more nothing less. You guys who demand suspension for Mcbob over the play need to look back at the 80's and 90's and see the fouls that were commited in those playoff series. Alot of those were just typical fouls. Now in the era of the primadonna athletes, they cry to refs, they plead for harsh penalities, they flop around like Jean Claude Van Damme stunt doubles, and they get beneficial calls that wouldnt even be made in streetball games.
Nobody wants Lebron to be injured, but this is basketball. You cant just walk into the lane in the playoffs without getting some contact that will deter you next time. And besides, didnt Lebron run full speed down the lane, jump into Roy Hibbert and give him the flying Dusty Rhodes elbow that gave him Zab Judah noodle legs? Did Lebron get fined for that? Heat fans really need to buck up.
