Tyler Zeller has been balling all year, and really, his entire career when not injured. If he comes out, I'd love to pick him up in the later part of the first or early second. He's a legit 7 footer that plays D, has a jumper, hook from both shoulders, hits FT's, AND is athletic.
Top 3 guys I'd pick would still be:
1. Barnes (to play SG or SF, he's not putting up the numbers you'd expect, but he's still going to be a dynamite player in the league. Has plenty of size to overpower SG's and is still big enough to play SF)
2. Irving (sure we have DJ, but you pick for best available talent, not necessarily positional need. Kyrie is another one of those super athletic, new wave PG's that are taking over the league. He's legit)
3. Jared Sullinger (big, strong, low post presence on both ends of the floor. tough as nails and smart. He's DeMarcus Cousins with less attitude and fat)
Not sold on: T. Jones (something about him doesn't work for me. Not real sure what it is. He doesn't seem like a very smart guy and I'm not sure he can continue playing well when he's not feasting on undersized opponents)
Kemba Walker (undersized 2 guard in a PG's body. Not much of a distributor and will likely be a energy guy off the bench. Not worth a lottery pick)
JaJuan Johnson and Tyler Zeller are later targets for post players, Marcus Morris is the wing target and Klay Thompson is the Guard.
Tyler Zeller has stepped up ALOT this year, and is proving that he can be a 20ppg - 10 rpg player in college at least. If he continues his reign of excellence then he could go in the lottery.
Also I like Jajuan Johnson....
On the topic of Barnes I must admit that the majority of his scoring woes have come from the way Roy is playing him, honestly I watched a game and thought that Roy was holding him back waaay to much, either that or Barnes suffers from confidence problems.
Also to be honest I believe that Kemba Walker would fit our teams need better then Irving, while they are both great talents Walker is more of that Clutch- super leader player that we desperately need. Irving is good however I cannot be sure as to whether he is a leader as long as Nolan and whatshisface are on the team too. Also Kemba is an underatted distributor, he has roughly 4 a game in a system that utilizes him as a SG, and he also is a GREAT defender, the only PG Ive seen defend as well as him this year is none other then Marcus Jordan, who defends like a god....
Finally I would like to say that I believe Selby will have a huge year once he can play, I'm even willing to say that he will score at least 18ppg.... and thats moderate in my mind.
