I know a lot of you are more educated about Lins career and might think Im exaggerating. However, Im more educated on metaphysics and pataphysics and I have discovered a rift in the space/time continuum behind my refrigerator that leads to an alternate universe where Lin has been made a franchise player by the Philadelphia 76ers.

In this universe he averages 26/5/9 and is first team all-NBA and first team all-defense. Curry is still the MVP but its not Lins fault because Curry has better teammates and coaches. He is still considered better than Harden due to his defensive prowess, though.

Anyone who disagrees with my assessment has an opinion that is baseless because you dont have the knowledge of physics that I do and havent been able to access any of the parallel universes in which Lin is has been given the opportunity he deserves. The laws of physics dictate that there are numerous (arguably infinite) universes in which this is the case. I have only been able to access one so far, but am working on finding ways to access the others.

And 1'd your post but such is the discussion these days I feel obligated to post that yes, I do realize you're joking. :)

Definitely won't come in for Batum. Hairston for sure.

I thought it was Batum. Because Batum would rest while Lin and Kemba played together. That's been the pattern the past few games. Batum out Lin in with Kemba. Kemba and Batum out, Lin runs point in 2 unit. Batum in joins unit 2, Kemba rests, Lin and Batum facilitate. Then all 3 close the half or game with Marvin and a center.

What a strange position I find myself in where I feel the need to argue against my favorite player because a few of my fellow fans are overzealous and a bit nuts. I will just lay off the board for a while instead.

Lin will close most games per Cliff. Well, he was closing most of them up to now anyway.

Kemba, Batum, Lin, Marvin, center depends on matchups.

Grossly over-exaggerating and misinterpreting what I wrote, but I legit lol'ed at that post, and am pretty honored you spent so much of your time writing it.

FYI, was reading about people lauding Batum for his playmaking abilities and decided to check his stats. Dude has 4.6 assists and 3.1 TOs per game, with a ratio of 1.48, and he scores 16.5 PPG on ~13 shots per game at 42.4% FG. I mean, he's a decent player no doubt, but people are sorta over-exaggerating his skills. On the other hand, I've been pretty impressed by Kemba in his playmaking abilities, but more so with his team-first attitude and unselfishness.

Stop being lame, dude. What's wrong with being a little bonkers and die-hard supporting your favorite player? Stop caring what others think and do your thing.

There is a stupid rumour going that the Knicks are interested in Lin lol... No way that Lin is going there.

But if you would consider to trade Jeremy Lin to any team, who would you trade him for and why?

When is Batum coming back?

you guys should watch Clutchfans jeremy thread there it's gone to the next level TINSANE that's what they call it.

Hate to talk about that place so this will be my only comment. They should lock up that thread and chalk it up as another loss. But then certain members would have nothing to obsess over, what are they going to talk about, their team? :)

The only reason why the moderators have kept this thread open is because it generates hits for the forum..Many people keep visiting it.

Also, if you make a google search, it will appear and there's so many Lin's fan out there that some of them may eventually see it and visit the website.....More visitors, more hits, more money.

You have no idea what you're talking about. We created this thread for two reasons:

(1) Lin is a member of our team and we have threads for every member of our team.

(2) To provide fans of Lin who are not interested in our team as a whole a place to discuss Lin's play so they don't clutter up other threads (unfortunately we've not been that successful with this goal).

Has nothing to do with traffic or hits.

you're getting this thread confused with the Troy Daniels thread. That's the cash cow.

Watching back at this particular game, I'm always amaze at how many people in the stands cheered when Lin made the last shot..It almost felt like the Knicks were playing a home game in Madison Square garden instead of the game being in Toronto...Just check out the clip at 3:56 minute mark..

yes, im sure alot of teams are looking at jeremy lin right about now and feeling pretty stupid for the signing the man to a deal when they had the chance. Now they're probably salivating at a backup PG who is a 2way player with decent averages of 11 ppg 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal. Not to mention, any given night he can go off for 20+ points in the right situation. He wouldn't be the main star on a team but he would be a KEY piece to any championship contender.

even though raps are my home team and the fact that the fans were cheering for the knicks kind of annoyed me, I still think it was seriously awesome how lin pulled that off. Most cocky shot in the nba that ive seen to date, which is why its so awesome.

I'm in the New York area and while I think Lin can help the Knicks, I'd rather him stay right where he is in Charlotte. I like the fans, the media, the town seems chill, the announcing team is good except for an overly hyped up Collins, the team mates, the coach, I even like this board more than other GM boards. I don't know how Lin's playing time will be affected when MKG gets back but I'd love to see them team up, especially defensively, together on the court and look forward to that happening if it does.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
