I think AR will have a similar improvement in his sophomore year as well, maybe not #'s wise, but % wise. The point is, neither are ideally starters on championship caliber teams, which one hopes is Cho and MJ's aspiration. Kemba ideally should fill BG's role, but with a better attitude and less stank face. A true pg, i.e Grevious Vasquez would be ideal for this team, since he's quite tall, this would allow Kemba to play off the ball, his natural position.
Thats looking at the numbers, but in looking at the tape he does make good passes. But we can also talk numbers if you want; our team FG% average (of all players) is 41.9%, this isn't due to a lack of good setups, but rather as a result of poor Post play (which would yield high FG%) and a lack of shooting skill.
To put this number in perspective consider that we are the worst in the league with this number, with the next worst team (Indiana) shooting 43.3%.... Might not seem like a big difference, but for it being between the worst and 2nd worst it is huge, if you were to add the difference in the percentages to Indiana's FG% they would go from having the 29th ranked FG% to having the 16th ranked FG%.... Without any post players to run the offense through the Lolcats are forced to rely on ineffective Mid-range or contested close/inside shots... Its a miracle that Walker manages 5 assists a game in my eyes....
If we want to Advance as a team then we desperately need someone who can score efficiently in the Post... Ala a Luis Scola (prime) esc player or such would work wonders for us... Heck I would even settle for Tyler Zeller given that he would give us an inside presence.
