i wonder if we could trade with chicago to get our pick back, maybe something around sess for that first

I highly doubt that they would do it for a guy who is expiring.

They view that pick as if it is untouchable (their fans anyway)

What I could see working is if we gave them Jefferson for Boozer+our first.

I'm not sure they would do it, but, I'm sure they would consider it.

Their fans (on Realgm) always say to Boozer proposals that they could amnestise Boozer instead of giving something up to get rid of him, but they refuse to acknowledge that their ownership is most likely too tight to do that.

Imagine if we got our pick at around 6 and theirs at 9 or 10. Add to that a decent bench guy from the Portland pick and we would have a big influx of talent.

Man if we didn't make that awful deal for Tyrus, we could have back to backs in the first round. I wouldn't mind seeing us take a shot with McDermott. I think he could be a good second unit wing that would provide solid scoring. He's a more pure shooter than almost everyone on our roster

Ideally we would get our pick this year and it be in the top 5, we have an unbelievable draft (finally) and explode next year giving the Bulls our pick in '15 around the #20 area.

This would be absolutely perfect.

Hopefully our FO is taking note of what PDX did at about the halfway mark of last season.

I honestly think we'll fire up the full blown tank soon.

If we go into next season having missed the PO's but having been in with a solid chance for over half a season then confidence would have to be there for a run next season (with much more talent)

It's hard for me to see us getting a top 5 pick with a lot of teams blatantly losing this season. As much as it sucks to say, I don't think we're that good at being that bad. Besides, we've been bad before and it still didn't help us, either Stern **** us or we drafted poorly. Might as well win and see what you've got

DET at best is a fringe playoff team so their pick should be no worse than 15 or 16. If they miss the playoffs the pick should be no worse than 10 given how there are really only 2 teams out West (SAC and UTAH) clearly worse than the non-playoff teams in the East.

I see our talent level similar to DET. We are slightly better than a fringe playoff team. The Bulls will get our pick at 15 or 16. If we miss the playoffs our pick is no worse than 10 but I can't see it being much better than 10.

The Bulls may have that Charlotte pick and their own first-round pick to use, either to draft two potential core pieces or to bundle to move up in a draft that features likely a handful of future All-Stars.

If they think it will be a lottery pick, then they'll be disappointed, but it could very well be a 15th, 16th, or 17th pick- still pretty valuable if you ask me.

In the 2014 draft, its slightly less valuable than the Detroit pick which is pretty highly coveted around here.

I usually don't value draft picks unless it's in the top 5. Otherwise you're drafting a player that either have a glaring flaw that you're hoping won't get exposed in the NBA or has to be groomed into a star quality player over 3-4 years.

Usually there are some surprises and some GM's look like genius' by taking no brainer picks who slid.
