Lance wasn't their most talented player, but he was their best player and the player with the most heart. Losin him is a big blow. There will probably be at least 4 teams better than Indy in the east next year, at least.

Stephenson may go back to his "throwing his GF down a block of stairs and smashing her head into the stairs" ways.

i doubt Lance through anyone "down a block of stairs".
that sounds made-up anyway.
"block" of stairs doesn't sound like a real thing even :o

GREAT TO HAVE YOU LANCE. WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME!!

Lance got a bad rap. The only thing I feel he has done wrong was push his girl down the stairs, that's just as bad or arguably as bad as beatin up a woman, and the ball teacher don't condone beatin up on women, even if they fight like Oprah in the color purple. Other than that, Lance seems like a decent dude, he's got toughness and charisma, you need guys like him on your team, look what he did for Indiana.

Can't wait for born ready and EZ pass take over the league as the best backcourt duo this year.

Well I don't know which fans you are reffering to but i will give you two things, 1) Lance is our 3rd best player at best, that won't drop us 5 or 6 seeds, and 2) Most fans weren't begging to have him back. I was one of those that wanted him back to begin with, but as more time comes by, and more quotes come out from around the team, something has become very clear, Lance wasn't very well liked in our locker room. I am one of the Pacers fans now, who believes we will be BETTER without Lance. First of all our team chemistry will be better overall without him, and secondly, another ball dominate wing is not what we needed. We already have Paul George on the wing, and Lance dribbling the ball for 20 seconds on some possessions just doesn't cut it. Lance was perfect for us the first half when he didn't try to run the offense himself, but over the 2nd half when he tried to take control of the offense and be the guy who ran it, we fell apart. Losing Lance will likely end up being a good thing for us tbh. Though that doesn't mean it can't be a positive for Charlotte.

Lance isn't a bad guy, don't let anyone tell you otherwise... He is just... Bothersome in the locker room. He got in fights with multiple team mates here in Indy, and when he became a me first player the second half of the season, it spiraled out of control. Lance is best in a situation right now where he isn't forced to do to much, but can learn and be a leading offensive player later in his career imo.

does that mean you think Indiana will win more games next season than they did with Lance? :o

More games or not I don't know. Just because you win more games one year doesn't mean the team was better, an the opposite for less games.

If the worse team gets more wins, I don't want the better team.

I have no problems with Lance picking fights when his team is in the middle of the most embarrassing performance in recent NBA history by a top team. If Hibbert had 10% of the competitiveness that Lance has the Pacers would have been in a much better situation.

I appreciate your input and perspective. No one can know exactly how Lance will play out. My hope is that MJ and coach will guide and mentor him into a great player. With maturity comes wisdom. I believe he can achieve that here. Sometimes it does take a change of scenery. Perhaps it will work out best for both teams.

I know how much Indiana loves the Pacers. We love our Hornets in a similar way. Both states are basketball crazy! Best wishes on your season!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I disagree I'm more about post-season than regular season wins, similar to how the Pacers 13-14 team had more wins, but the 12-13 team performed better in the post-season.

Thank you and likewise to Charlotte, I'll definitely check out your team a few times this season for sure.

Lance was like the Pacers 3rd best player but it was arguable that he was the 2nd best player by the end of the season.

Lance looking fly there. Is the paint color on the car purple? If so he's really buying into being a Hornet, literally.

By seasons end Lance was the heart and soul of your team. Not the best scorer, not the most talented, but of all the things he brought the table nobody on the Pacers was more valuable. Not Hibbert, not Paul George who went from being a borderline superstar to just being called a good player, and not D West who's showing signs of slowing. Do I think he's better than Paul George, not really, but at the end of the season, I think he clearly overachieved and played better than George.
